The 08 and up does have the change holder. At least my '11 OBS has it.

Don't feel bad about the lack of change holder. They suck at what they do.

No photos of the work in progress, but right now it's simply pressed against the opening by duct tape. You'll want to cover the excess gap somehow, either by bondo + painting, or by some kind of wrap. Mine's covered in alcantara, so it blends with the rest of the interior. I'll grab a better pic tomorrow.

The last place I want my Boost (or any gauge) is down far away from the line of site to the road... Why would you want this?

Why do you even need a boost gauge? What is it really going to do for you if you over boost? I thought that's why you get tuned???

Agreed...though it does look very clean. I'd rather have something like oil pressure down there that I don't constantly need to be checking. Otherwise you might as well mount your phone down there and play some movies.

I use mine as a vacuum gauge most of the time. Good way to save fuel is when the vacuum reads higher than 14 inHG.

For the last few weeks I've been contemplating a hood mounted gauge like the old MOPAR's. But on a DD the chance for theft would be too high I'd imagine. Would be cool to see though.

Boost gauge is your first defense in seeing things tht might be wrong with the car. Vacuum leaks and boost leaks or over boosting mean problems that don't help you engine.

You could be tuned by god himself, If you get a boost leak or are not hitting your peak how would you know? The reason its there is its a clean place to put it. I don't need to look at it constantly. I road race and I record using the controller to check back for any issues. Finishing the cage as we speak. HATERS! Merry Christmas Everyone! Be safe....

^^^ Well I was not hating I was asking simple questions. If you thought I was I was hating because I don't see the need for one and you do, sucks.

Nice bolt-in cage, what class do you run in that would mandate you having a cage? Or are you just doing it for basic track safety sake.

Are you planing on welding it in or keeping it bolt-in.

I am just curious.

The rear points are going to be welded rather then having bolts sticking through my fender wells, I do clubs at my local track as well as some sanctioned events, it was really done to give the chassis a rigid solid feel but also giving it the obvious safety factor. I wanted a complete weld in cage but the place I was going to have it done, Race Car Builders in Palm City Florida never answered the phone and when I went there they were gone. So I came across this complete cage from a guy in ft Meyers so I couldn't pass it up. I retain the passenger seat which isn't really working to well because you have to juggle between having the seat lean back or up to far. I really need to get a second bucket seat. The car is built around the mindset of Redundancy. Probably doing more then I actually need but allows me to move forward without taking steps back.

You should really weld the whole thing in, and reinforce the feet plates. Bolt in cages are a death trap.

yeah. i would also fab up "base plates" that will fit between the cage's feet and the chassis for extra reinforcement at the mounting points.

Yeah it came with box of pretty thick backing plates with enough to put one top and bottom. I'm also running into an issue with the thigh bar of the cage. Hitting the passenger seat. Guess that means my only option is to get another seat.

Don't know how we're being rough, it's almost pointless to have gauges where you can't easily see them. I'd put a clock gauge down there or maybe at most an oil or coolant temp gauge down there.
