Post best site for MY00 SAFC install info (already did a search)

ok...i did a search, came up with a lot of stuff, but a lot of it is pretty dated, and conflicting info.
For MY00, what site can I go to (or if anyone is so genereous to e-mail me complete instructions plus settings) to get a complete idea of the settings/install for the AFC. I don't want to mess up anything during the install, or mess any settings and watch my car go up in flames.
Thanks for your time, and sorry for the lack of technical knowledge about this...yer patience is appreciated.

He has wiring directions on his site as well as a neat carbon-fibre AFC mount

I only see instructions for MY99 on the KartBoy site. I think the 00's are different because of the change to a MAP sensor.

www.lagging.com is supposed to have them, though I have barely ever been able to find the diagrams on there (organization kinda sucks and it's not Netscape-friendly).

unfortunately, that lagging site didn't help too much for me. I had a hard time both finding the info, and understanding the info....

Sorry you guys think the organization sucks over on http://www.lagging.com . The links for ECU pinouts are on the FAQ page. The page is now Netscape friendly (NS + tables + CSS = unstable) and should load up without crashing.

I don't have specific instructions -- as in "Hook the blue wire up to the green/red wire in the middle harness". Sorry.

if no one happens to have any good info on this, mine should be arriving in a few days to be installed. The person who I am buying it from(Eric Gagnon) is a great guy it seems and is willing to send me info how to install it and possibly a wiring diagram. I'll try to post some more info when I have it, or put it up somewhere to read.

dont be so harsh on steveS. he isnt gettin paid to have that site, or any info on it. I have NN (on a Mac no less), and never crashed once ever from his site. He was pretty much the first one of us to mess with an SAFC, on his turbo '98. be grateful.

Question

I am confused re: which wire diagram to use for my car. I have a 1999 Outback Sport with the MAP sensor not the MAS. So would I use the same diagram as the my2000 2.5rs? I did a search and I can't find a diagram for my model and year.

Max, thanks for the info. I will try to document my install as best as I can when I do it. I'll also draw up a wiring diagram similar to the diagrams that come with the S-AFC. Hopefully this'll help all.

Okay MY00 kidds. I mapped out an install diagram for the S-AFC. Tell me if it sucks and I'll redo it. Anyways... it has all of the connection points on it.

**** Be sure to read the instrux before you attempt the install. Good luck! I'll post my install when it's done.

Pinochle ~~ Excellent idea! Although I can't read the yellow. Mind if I use this on my site? (I'll tweak the colors so they're readable.)

8Complex ~~ You're welcome. And I mean that, as I get little Netscape traffic according to my web logs!

SteveS - Yeah I know... people are just using the browser they get with their computer and, quite unfortunately, 98% of the time they only get IE with it.

BTW, I run a few sites that I have had to put up with the compatibility headaches... fortunately I don't think yours seemed as if it was too bad to fix.

SteveS,
Go nuts kidd.

Well all... AFC is in. Just finished the install and took a li'l spin. Things are happening on the display. I do need to do some troubleshooting though. First thing I noticed is that the tach measurement is off. Gotta read up on it in the manual. If anyone has any start off info, tips, etc, hook me up. I'll compose the install procedure later on though.

STi Pink baby!

Oh... figured out what went wrong with the RPM issue. I didn't take the time to do the initial configuration of the device. All is good now. My only question is, does anyone know what to set the Sensor Output Cal's In and Out to? Lemme know if y'all do.
