Yeah, never liked the 3G gaytezzas.
What I don't get is how Subaru can make badass tail lights on their concept cars, but the production cars always make baby animals cry? Lameness.

those stupid perfectly red and smooth civic tails just sit there and taunt me as I try just to make my tails look like them.
How does this car not have any aftermarket tail lights available, there are certain atezzas that would look way better than what we have stock..lol. I guess its because of the LEDs |

Someone will probably develop aftermarket ones for the 3G once they're the outgoing model. haha
I think I'm going to pick up my buddy's Enkei GTC01 18x7.5 wheels and mount them either on 5mm spacers or 25mm 5x100 spacer adapters and then call it good. Whatchu think? |

Sorry, I thought you would get it since you alluded to it.
With each set of new wheels I purchase I'm getting closer to 17x8. |

What the **** is the point of a license plate bracket if it doesn't mount to the same holes?
Yes I know all about the jdm holes, and I had totsubo adapters that I forgot to take of my old car, but the bracket that Subaru sells should mount to the holes on their own damn bumper! |

guy just screwed it to the bumper when I bought the car then I bought a holder for it from subaru
spacers are too expensive and they cause problems, you could sell your stock wheels and buy 17x8 rpf1s(or w/e else you want) and the total cost will end up almost the same. people who get spacers for oem wheels generally end up with aftermarket wheels eventually anyway, just do it right once. |

spacers are a band aid for a non-existent problem..lol
besides for the price of H&R spacers you can get like 4 sets of XXRs and since this is a subaru forum people will actually be impressed with them |

that's a totally different story
that is an actual problem(first world problem anyway) where wheel spacers may be a necessary evil |

So if I were to get the k&n drop in filter, would I need a tune.
Rallysportdirect said any high flow intake requires a tune, but I could use the k&n with lil to problem. So that's somewhat of an oxy moron. |

^the drop in filter is not a high flow intake system that requires a tune, it wont do enough to the ecu to require a new map. If you get a short ram or cold air intake system then you will require a tune.

Ideally yes you would. I wouldn't install a K&N in mine without having it supported.
Thats a big part of why I'm planning on getting the Cobb intake, it has a convenient free OTS map. Plus it just looks nice and clean |

I just didn't get the "cost too much money" part. They're about $100-$200 and for how long you've had them mounted they've practically paid for themselves. Mine did when I had them on for half the summer last year and part of the spring this year. It's much easier to come up with $200 as opposed to $1000+ for just new wheels, and then you need tires. Anything cheaper you're just settling. Like he said, get it right the first time, but you'll most likely end up spending about $2k when all is said and done.

You're stock filter will do just as good, if not better to be honest, as a K&N filter. Don't waste the money. Save it for when you're ready to really get into modding.
