Lisa (sugar) at Troncalli Subaru
I simply thought it would be nice to say a few good things about Lisa Wilkins, also known on the i-Club Bulletin Boards as "sugar." If you have never ordered parts for your Subaru from Lisa, please read...
I ordered the mounting hardware for my rear spats from Lisa a few weeks ago. However, while waiting for my merchandise, I moved to a new address. I decided on Monday (May, 14) to check with Lisa and determine whether the parts had been shipped. My credit card did not show it had been charged for the parts and I still had yet to receive the parts. I e-mailed Lisa to inquire about the shipment and she replied that the mounting hardware had been received on May 1 - the day after I left my former residence. I called my former apartment complex's leasing office and was told by the manager that, since I had moved, all of my mail had been forwarded to my new address. I was also told that, if I had received any packages from FedEx or UPS, they had been returned to the sender. In fact, the manager told me that she remembered seeing the package and that UPS had re-scanned the mounting hardware, effectively putting it back into UPS' tracking system. When I called UPS, the customer service representative could not determine whether the package had been delivered. She told me the manager had signed for the package and that my mounting hardware no longer appeared in UPS' tracking system. I told her what the manager of my former apartment complex had told me - that the mounting hardware had been returned to the sender and had left the leasing office in the hands of the UPS delivery driver - and the customer service representative told me I should contact the sender (Lisa). I e-mailed Lisa and told her of my situation; that nobody seemed to be able to tell me to where my mounting hardware had gone. Instead of telling me that I was "out of luck" or to re-order the same parts, Lisa promptly replied that she would re-order the parts for me and send them immediately. No hassles, no debates over the wrongdoing. I cannot stress enough how nice it has been to work with Lisa. This is the second time I have ordered parts from her and both times she has proven to me that customer service and customer satisfaction are her top priorities. To anyone looking to purchase parts for their Subaru(s), I would definitely recommend purchasing from Lisa. Thanks again to Lisa for her hard work and understanding!! Edit: grammatical error. Lisa has been a savior for me on parts twice now, the first time was when I needed a rear O2 sensor in a hurry, she got me one promptly and at a great price, then just monday I discovered I needed new rear brake pads for my 99RS, she had a set and said I will have them by friday! She is courteous, proffesional and prompt. Thanks Lisa and keep up the good work.....

I've bought several pieces from Lisa, and have been impressed with her service overall. Currently, she's having a rough spot with the STi motor/tranny mount group buy she arranged, owing to US Customs doing their usual glacial job. Once the big shipping box gets to her, I'll have a set of STi 2 piston rear brakes and the STi motor and trans mounts!

Ya, I've only ordered one thing from Lisa, but I was very happy...We're not just joe schmoes to her, and she treats us like actual people, which is nice I got my FHI V5 suspension from her, and that GB went very smoothly IIRC, and all parts went out quickly. UPS had obviously manhandled the struts, and some had some paint loss, and one an actual ding on a flange. I told Lisa, and she said that if it was actually damaged to tell her and she'd ship another (the strut was fine, and it was only cosmetic damage really). Customs suck
Edit: Heh, didn't finish [This message has been edited by Fido (edited May 16, 2001).] |

Lisa is truly the best person to buy parts from. It's good to know that there are still good and decent people here and there. (Including i-club members!)

I know ive ordered a ton of stuff from Lisa( my wallet can attest to that).Always courteous, prompt, knows her parts, priced right,800#, etc.If she cant get it she'll tell ya she cant, but she'll try or tell ya were to get it.
Like Fido said, she treats us more like friends as well as customers. She's had a hiccup with the sti mount buy,but those guys will get there parts, maybe not on time but theyll get them. Definatly one of the best vendors we have. Rudy |

Heh, I keep wanting to post the lyrics to the song 'Sugar, Sugar' by The Archies, but I just can't seem to find a real way to link it in to Lisa besides her name on the boards lol
Edit: Can't type tonight... [This message has been edited by Fido (edited May 16, 2001).] |
