I think i'm just gonna get the strip on the top for now but id love to do like 50% or maybe 35% on the windshield. (def not 5% lol)

20% on all 5 no windshield tint. From Tint King in Bridgeport, highly recommend them if your in the southern CT area.

ok so i cant decide between either 20 % or just going all the way to 5%. in my state the back three can be any but the front two must be 50% so either way i am going to be breaking the law by a lot. i dont want people to be able to see in my car, whats the 20% like? and will it be sufficent or should i just get the 5 % done?

If you want to play it safe, do 35% all around or at least on the front and you probably wont be bothered by the fuzz. I did 20% all around and nothing on the front on a white sti with black wheels. Looks really good and you cannot see in at night or on cloudy days. On sunny days you can see in a little. I got my first ever ticket 5 months ago and the officer had tint reader and it measured at 15% So the old saying that cars have 5% tint already on them from the factory is true! I cannot see myself having anything darker than what I got because night driving + rain is not fun. Sometimes you have to roll the window down to see where you're turning.

18% tint on all windows other than the front windshield :)
I also put a 5% (limo tint) on the rear taillights. The windows are pretty dark great during the day, can be difficult to see out of at night without street lights |

[quote=k757;34354103]I suggest you remove the dark tint from the tails. If someone rear ends you, you will be at fault.
I was worried about this after i got them installed but surprisingly the tail lights shine through very brightly still. At night you cant even tell they are there, during the day if i have the headlights on you can still see the red very clearly and when i brake there is no question that the break lights are coming on. I have seen many other cars that are even harder to see the brake lights when they are stock. Is there a law that puts me at fault with these lights though? Would that law apply to the red tint too? |
