Been running 100% E85 for about 8 months now, no real issues. As per my last tuning session, here were the results:

-Tuned via OpenECU at 19psi
-Stock VF39 turbo
-811cc injectors at 75% IDC
-6000 ft elevation

Supporting mods:

-APS TMIC
-GMS inlet hose
-AEM CAI
-Cobb catted downpipe
-Borla XR-1 cat-back
-811cc injectors
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump

Although these numbers will not be accurate for long, as I just ordered a Blouch 20G Which, I'm sure with a 20G on E85, boost will be limited due to my 811cc injectors, even at altitude, and will likely upgrade them in the future. Probably just switch back to 91 pump gas for the time being once the 20G gets here. I'm actually curious to see how my VF39 on E85 stacks up against a 20G on 91 pump. I'll be sure to post results.

For all of you guys running e85, how consistent has it been? I've got access to several e85 pumps in my town, but the octane consistency is keeping me away. It seems like something you'd have to log for constantly to monitor...

The graph says 24.88 PSI but my Defi gauge read 22 and the Hydra read the same. We could have cracked 600 on 22psi. But because we were losing fuel pressure up top we never tried. The twin in-tank fuel system I am using works great! But the Buschur Modified Walbro's are failing.

Beautiful car. When's this monster hitting full boost? It would be great if you could tell us what the mph correspond to in rpm. What's the torque on this? I'm interested to see how close the torque is to the hp at this level and using e85...

Oh, and people seem to like the Bosch 044 pumps for high demand applications.

Edit: Just saw your original thread. Although it would still be nice to see a torque curve too. Do you have that?

I don't notice much difference until they step down to E80 or E75 when the weather starts getting cold.. and then when they step it back up. Day to day differences are not enough to worry about around here anyway.

I do not have a torque chart. The Dyno used didn't pick up the RPM very well. The graph shown was only taken up to 7k. I'm not completely certain but for every 1k-500 RPM increase we noted a 7mph average increase.

As for the fuel situation Bosch is apart of the initial plan.

I'll make sure to keep the threads updated!

Thanks for the invite E-85 Army!

Power mods and supporting mods are:
Turbonetics GT-K 500 rotated turbo
Treadstone 3.5" cold air intake with K&N cone air filter
Treadstone 304 stainless steel up pipe
Treadstone 304 stainless steel downpipe with replumbed dump tube
Cusco exhaust manifold header
HKS Carbon-TI exhaust
Tial 44mm external wastegate
Tial Bv 50mm VTA blow off valve
GrimmSpeed 8mm phenolic spacers
GrimmSpeed TGV deletes
GrimmSpeed PnP intake manifold
TurboSmart eBoost2 40psi Sleeper Series EBC
Ultimate Racing 1260cc top-feed fuel injector and fuel rail kit (being installed this week)
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump (adding a second Walbro this week)
NGK one step colder plugs
Cobb AccessPORT v2
Snow Performance Stage 2 boost cooler methanol injection kit
Snow Performance Safeinjection failsafe
Snow Performance V-100 boost controller upgrade

With the above setup my '05 STi pulled 438whp/440wtq @26psi on 92 pump/meth and 462whp/460wtq @29psi on Q16 on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. That was with a single Walbro and Deatschwerks 850cc injectors.

Here's my dyno maps on the numbers above

The car is being fitted with an Ultimate Racing 1260cc top-feed injector and fuel rail kit and a dual Walbro setup and tuned with E85 on Friday. If all goes well, we hope to have her at the track Friday night. I hope to hit close to 475-485 whp/wtq, perhaps more on the dyno tune.

I am looking forward to joining the army!

Sorry guys...time to whip out my Swiss Army knife .

-1 E85/hydrous ethanol/Butanol 150cc scooter (doing scooter rear wheel swap. Already has GS425 front fork + bobber seat.)
-1 FA30S Saito on "General Tso's" Blend. (world's smallest biofuel 4 stroke! Vids in a bit.)
-1 N/A E85 2.5RS that just smoked a stage 1 Clutchmaster clutch. (Boring on camera at the moment. Stg3 clutch on order.)
-1 work in progress E85 '90 T-Leg (About a day away. New daily driver.)
-1 work in progress E85 metric bobber bike (Summer project.)

I am honestly comfortable actually not making a ton of power on any of this. I'm happier that it all runs like clockwork and is easy to work on and tinker with. "Fast" is relative, but all of these different things are definitely fun and faster than gas. The 5cc 4 stroke Saito sounds like a little badass (yes, 5cc). I <3 biofuel hobbies!

Last year I used E85 all year I live in Minnesota, then winter came along and I start having real bad detonations on the cold morning starts, after a few failed attemps to fix it, the tuner change it back to 92, after that find out I had bad injectors (Agency Power Stock modified) replace those and now I am looking foward to get back on E85.
Last year data:
1) Your injectors size: Agency Power Modified stock 816cc
2) Injector duty cycle (if you have it): Dont know (Tuner say max out 18 psi)
3) Elevation: Dont Know (Minnesota)
4) Turbo: fp green Tial 38mm
Results 357 awhp 360 TQ @18 psi Mustang Dyno
