Post How tall is too tall?

My freind is thinking of buying a Subaru Impreza, just like mine, but hes about six foot 3. He doesnt care about the people sitting behind him, he just wants to know if hed be comfortable. Or, alternatiely, can you move the seats position further back? Just curious... thanks a lot

Well, I'm about 6'8, but they streched me out on the rack... (Yes I fit in my RS)
This is just one of the examples I've read... So yes, he should have no problem. I'm 6'1", and I don't even have the seat all the way back.

Well, if it matters...

I'm 6'10, and have an L w/o sunroof (buying me some extra headroom.) In order to fit comfortably, I picked up a set of old seats at a junkyard and pretty much hacked away at the seat to achieve the headroom I wanted.

So tall people can fit, but a little work may be required. (Though, in my case, this has been required for every car I've owned.)

I suppose he was more curious about leg room... the man is a freak... almost all leg, almost as if he’s wearing stilts

Well, like I said, if someone who is 6'8" has no problems fitting in the RS, I doubt that someone who's 6'3" would. He'll be fine.

6'6" and I've never had so much leg room before

oh yeah, plenty of headspace, too...

I saw this, but realize, I also managed to fit myself into an Rx-7 for 3 years, and a Miata for a short time, too

A miata? I'm 6' with 34" inseam and can't stand my wife's Miata. Was this for a bet or did you actually think it was a good idea going into it?

I'm at least 6'3" and about 250lbs. I had an L sedan and was going to buy a Legacy since I was too much for the L and could never get comfortable on long trips. To my suprise, the coupe seems to have a bit more legroom and is far more comfortable for me to sit in. Strange, since their both the same car, but thankfully the coupe has a bit more room.

I'm 6' 4" and that is one of the most important reasons WHY I bought the Impreza - it was practically the only car on the market that had enough head and leg room combined!

I'm 6'4", and I don't fit into any "fun" cars, except for the Impreza. I went to the Pittsburgh Auto Show in February (mainly just to check out the new WRX's). I sat in several cars, and was disappointed in nearly every one except for the Impreza and the Prelude. The new-gen Imprezas has TONS of room and very comfortable seats. The only other performance car I could comfortably sit in was the Prelude. I was shocked at the increasing sticker price on the Preludes - they're almost $30K now!

I kid you not when I say my head sticks up 3" through the moonroof of the new Integras!!! What a shame, cuz I'd love to own one.

I'm 5'11" and I keep my seat all the way back. I'm not comfy with it more than a couple clicks forward. But I also keep the seatback almost vert.
