Did you happen to get a "you've been spotted" card at festival the other day?

What's up homie! How've you been!? Yeah I need to pull driver side headlight to get it cleaned up from all the moist that it has been collecting from a bad seal and of course re-seal it...

Wow. Pete is back, Ralph has a Ducatti. I done missed a lot lately. I may have talked the wife into a BRZ or FR-S to replace her Nissan but the wagon was making some strange noises yesterday, more than just piston slap I think so STi short block may be in the near future.

Mark, you had a hybrid for a while I think; did you need anything special besides a tune and injectors to make it work?

I wasn't sure if he had the hybrid or if he went full long block. Did anyone locally go hybrid?

You can use an EJ257/255 shortblock with EJ205 heads, but if you plan to go for a lot of power it can be hard due to the engine being more prone to knock. You can get around this by tuning it a little more conservatively, but it isn't an ideal solution.
If you find heads from a 2004 STI they have the bracket on them for the CPS to use from your wiring harness, you just have to drill and tap a hole to hold the sensor to the bracket (I've got a set of heads in my garage, but they need valve work).
You can use newer STI heads, but you need to buy an aftermarket bracket.

There's quite a few ways to throw it together, and it all depends on what your budget is to get your best bang-for-your-buck.
The factory shortblocks with 2.0 heads can be pretty strong - We got Cody's into the low 11's (should have been 10's with a better driver) in the quarter mile. It should have been around 480 WHP judging by trap speeds, but it was just road tuned, so we never actually knew.

Give me a call if you want to discuss options - It's probably easier that way.
