Default Info: Kazera / Kuhmo weights and stock wheel weights.

I just weighted my summer wheel/tire combo: 17 x 7Kazera KZ-V wheels with 215 45 17 Kuhmo Ecsta MX tires. They weight in at exactly 39.1 lbs, mounted, balanced and inflated to 35PSI. My stock '99 2.5RS wheels with 205 55 16 Dunlop WinterSport M2s weights 38.5lbs mounted balanced and inflated to 32PSI.
Does anyone know what the stock wheels would weight with Kuhmo Ecsta MXs mounted on it?

BTW I am VERY satisfied with these wheels and tires and can hardly wait for the snow to melt so I can get them back on

Thumbs up Nice! Very Light, Very Inexpensive, Great Grip!

Hey Sam, wanna thank you for this post! I'm glad you weighed the wheel and tire mounted up like that. It's nice to have first-hand actual weight, vs. calculating from the specs. From the specs, this combo would weigh in at 40lbs even, so this is good.

I would like to purchase the same set-up, Kazera KZ-V 17x7 (@ ~17lbs) wrapped in Kumho ECTA MX 215/45/17.

I picked these because they are fairly light, and very affordable @ $129 per wheel, & $135 per tire, (before shipping charges from Tire Rack). Just over $1,000 before shipping... Nice set-up!

Regarding your question about the weight of the Kumho ECSTA MX on stock wheels, I know that Kumho specs the MX at the same weight as the RE92s. So that 205/55/16 is spec'd at 21lbs ea for both the MX and RE92, per Tire Rack.

BTW, best of luck on your engine swap!

Default I knew this would have to help at least someone!

Glad you liked the post. I am very, very happy with the combo; it allowed me to get second place at the local autocross here in UP Michigan, they feel excellent, are wearing much better than they did in 16" size, and are quiet. Wet traction is outstanding too! The rims took a couple good hits on potholes and still look perfect. Good buy. Post pics when you get them
