Default STI Bluetooth and Nexus Galaxy issue?

I am trying to find out if there is anyone else out there that is having any issue with the Bluetooth and the Nexus Galaxy? I have issues connecting the two and often times have to attempt the connection multiple times before the phone connects with the head unit. Often times, it will connect but then it will not have phone controls (can still stream audio, but not phone calls ). I had the original Droid before this phone that worked every single tine I got into the car.

This leads me to my other problem. On my old phone I could just leave the Bluetooth on and it would automatically connect after starting the car. Now, with the new phone, I have to manually connect the phone to the head unit every time I get into the car. I have played with some of the settings on the phone including time out durations but nothing seems to work.

Anyone else have any of these type of problems?

I am having the same issues as you and have not found a fix. Hope someone can figure it out. My old Droid X worked fine.

I found the solution on IWSTI. I guess u
You have to delete the device in the headset and pair them through using the voice command. So far it is working on mine now. Give it a shot

I'm using my Gnex on a WRX and I've never had those issues. I don't keep BT on unless I plan on using it so I just turn the car on, enable BT on my phone and they auto-connect. The only quirk I sometimes have is if I shut the car off before stopping my music (or disabling the BT on my phone) then the phone defaults to playing the music through the phone's speaker and it'll stay like that until I manually refresh the BT sync with the car.

Hope this helps some.

This is the answer. Same thing happened on my razr. Doesn't make sense to me why they have to have 2 different ways to pair a device, and one of them only half works.

Glad I wasn't the only one having this issue. When u read the fix I thought for sure it wasn't going to work, but sure enough it has been working great since.
