Does anyone have an 08+ WRX/STI 5 door with the Thule Boxter 611? I'm curious how far the over hang over the wind shield is with lift gate clearance in the back.

Thanks.

Just the rails or with an attachment? I'd say $200 or so as a starting point. Neither loose much value (at least around here.....used racks are almost as much as new) and it's not like either lost their functionality. Depends on how desperate the seller is....that's about $270 new for those parts.

Supposed to be getting my '08 oem rack on my OBP wrx sedan tomorrow and I can't for the life of me decide whether to keep the brushed aluminum or vinyl wrap it...

Anyone have any suggestions/pictures/compelling arguments?

2011 STI w/Yakima Fatcat 6 Roofrack. I actually had a 2011 Fiesta that this rack was on, but I stuck it on the STI and it fit perfectly with minor adjustment

Mine. Fairing is wrapped in Carbon Fiber vinyl. Yakima Big Powderhounds will be on there soon for the upcoming season.

For anyone running OEM crossbars with some kind of bike mount - do you get slight wobble from crossbar flexing?

If so, how bad is it, where is your bike mount located on the bars (how close to the edge), and have you had any problems?

Is this even anything I should worry about if I just take it easy while driving?

Thanks

Alright guys, I need a bit of assistance. I have a rack from a previous car that I want to use (bars and fairing) but I am unsure of what towers/feet/landing pads (I don't know what they are called) that would fit my car, 2011 WRX Sedan, and the Thule square bars that I have.

Here are pictures of the said rack. Don't mind the dirtyness (and the spider in one of the pictures) lol, have been sitting in my shed for a long time.

Sell that, start over. Pretty much the only thing you'd remotely want to keep are the bars and fairing...

That is all I want to keep. Just the bars and fairing. I am asking what would fit on my car and fit to those bars. I probably have the terminology wrong of what I am trying to ask. Basically the things (4 of them) that mount to the car, then the bars mount to them.

^^Im assuming your talking about the towers and feet. How did you want to mount them? Via clips or factory points?

I'm guessing factory points? I don't even know what mounting by clips is. Don't know much about racks

Basically which ever is better.
