Default Defi gauges dont work but control box lights up

today I went to install my defi gauges that I picked up used. I got the bf series with boost oil pressure and egt. I hooked up the control unit and it lights up but when I plug the gauges in they do nothing at all. I am plugged into output 2 and have tried each gauge and none of them work. I also tried multiple connectors. I am guessing I have something wired wrong or is my control box bad? Any way to test that? any ideas would be great.

I don't think you really did any wrong wiring, since the control box lights up. I could be wrong though.

Got anybody that can lend you a control box and gauge. So you can try hooking up the gauge to their box and their gauge to your box. That'll give you a straight answer as to where the problem is. Then you just have to find out what the problem is

unfortunately but I gave import image racing a call since they have been great with customer service with everything else I bought from them and they said its possible I may not be getting ignition telling the gauges to turn on. I cant test that till tomorrow after noon but does anyone know if they hook up the ignition to the clock if you have the factory gauge option?

yea, one of your main wires is not hooked up correctly. Or your link cable is bad. I've had both of these happen with the came conditions. Controller lights up but no gauges. Even took one apart because i thought it was fried!

So checked all the voltages and everything was right when they where supposed to be. Checked the outputs on the control box and got nothing. Gonna try to get that other control box to try.
