i checked out lersoc, seems cool but its probably not as busy as nasioc considering the issues its had for the last year or however long,

but this thread is more about just gathering of local cleveland area (or as far as you wanna drive to meet up) suby owners, not for talking about lersoc so much, any of you guys remenising about lersoc wanna stop down to quakersteak your more than welcome..

Default Ideas

Sorry I didn't make this smaller. I was toying with the Idea and came up with this. I have to work late tonight but as long as there are going to be more than 3 people I'll try to meet up at QS&L. Which begs the question, how many of you are exactly going? Oh yeah, and anytime we can have more than say 10 or 15 I can record our meets on my HD camcorder.

Oh yeah, in my daily job i'm a coordinator, so I tend to coordinate so punch me if I get annoying haha.

We need to know:

How many people we have in the club.

Vote on time, dates, frequencies and locations of the meets.

How we can all benefit (aka vendor relationships to the club, discounts for group members at auto places, etc.)

Purpose of meets, what to do at each meet, what adventures to have.

An easy way to judge attendance such as a e-mail mailing list that has members names and asks them to check whether they will attend or not.

Oh yeah, this is a whole new club meant to bring EVERYBODY together so LERSOC and whoever else should all come together and make this not just for Cleveland but all of Northern Ohio!

exactly, i think you guys are onto the same thing as me! I already have such measures in place and for now, nasioc/mwsoc/lersoc are the places where I am posting locations/meets etc.. If anyone can make it down tonight that would be awesome, if not please feel free to send me a pm. the name of my club is going to be forced4s.com and will include sponsors, vendors, gallery, members, locations etc. Much of these topics are WELL underway. The point of the QS&L meetups right now if to fine tune some of this information. Feel free to hit me up or AllBlk07Wrexx

I get off work at 7 today. Right after, I'm coming out there, many people or not. I'm assuming that you'll all be by your cars in the parking lot. Right?

Is that pronounced "no secks"? If so, I'm already in that club...

Already have some existing dealer deals. I just bought the OBXT at dealer cost without any dickering, and parts discounts at a couple of dealers.

And I'd have to agree with AkoiSo on the LERSOC generational thing. Back when the WRX started getting popular, there were a lot of previous members that hung out together and a lot of younger new WRX owners that all hung out together. That eventually disappeared as people got to know each other though, and we all get together when we go to the drag strip or for eats. People just tend to congregate with their peers, though. I had a bunch of 20-25 year olds as well as a couple 45-50 year olds at my house doing an install, and I was older than all of them. We had a great time.

Hope the weather holds out for y'all tonight.
Steve

Oh, and there's already Ohio Subarus, with a Cleveland area contingent, too (www.ohiosubarus.org) but that place is like death valley. It used to be really active until the admin forgot to pay the bills. By the time it got started again, COS was the place for central Ohio.

Hey everyone. No longer live in Cleveland area. Funny that I lived here for 4 years from 2003-07, and probably saw 3 wrx's/sti's during that entire time. Came back this weekend for a wedding and saw about 7 wrxs/stis. Saturday, saw a stock looking wrb bugeye going east 90 around 11:30. I think saw the same one again making a left at Clague.
