Default New WRX, new member, new pics!

I just joined i-club this morning and am very thankful for all the great info on the site and the few threads I've read. My WRX is only 3 months old but it already has me hooked. I just finished my first racing course at Sebring International Speedway last weekend. (pictures are posted) What a rush!

My WRX is completely stock but I am now looking for new wheels and tires. Help? The 16's and Potenza's didn't do so well but then again I have a lot to learn on the track. I could get to 117mph on the back straight but so what if you can get through the corners fast.

The group I drive with is well organized and very professional, Chinmotorsports. www.chinmotorsports.com The next event is at Roebling Road Raceway. I can't be there but I truely recommend the experience!

Welcome aboard. Can you go into more detail about your racing course?

Sure can! I've been replaying it my head all week! You can get a lot of info including a course layout at www.sebringraceway.com

The whole course is 3.7 miles long with 17 turns. There are 4 fast straights where I could get the WRX over 100mph. With that many turns, one of the greatest challenges is remembering what to do through each turn.

My instructor was great! He's raced that course for 15 years. A bonus was he requested me because he's considering a WRX purchase. My WRX got hook, line and sinker.

Where are the pictures posted?
I think it would be great to be able to get on a course and learn how to actually drive.

The pictures are posted under the Members section. I am in Winter Garden, Florida so click on Florida and scroll down near the bottom. Next to Jim Root, click view pics.

Wink Wheels to consider

OZ wheels Superleggeras in 17 in. They tip the scales at 15.4 lbs and are about $280 apiece from tirerack. They come in a cool grey color too.
