Frayz,

It's been a while eh mate? Just got up to date with all the new developments to your car and I must say, I'm astounded!!! Gorgeous work my friend.

For 2012, I'm taking my car into a new direction as well and I may need some bits from the UK

We'll be in touch I'm sure, but in the meantime, I am seriously loving your car man

Hi chaps,

Been pretty quiet around the forum recently. So just thought id post a little update of some small refreshments on the car.

Rear Brembos have been refurbished in black/yellow to match my APs up front.

Rear diff guard got a freshen up

Rear ARB, brackets and links also got a jolly up with some fresh powdercoat. All fitted up with new stainless fasteners and new rear pads in the calipers.
None of this can be seen i know and there will be lots more going on under here, but at least I know it's all reasonably tidy again for the summer,

Also have some more bits and pieces going on but will update when I have more to show.

Cheers, frayz

Took the old girl out for a drive last Saturday and upon coming home I gave her the usual inspection. Found some oil mist on my inner wing that I identified as PAS fluid.

On investigating further I found that my HP PAS line was leaking a small amount of fluid through the core of the hose.
I removed it before it failed, caused a fire or worse.
I took it to my hydraulics shop for a second opinion. They were very helpful as always and put the failure down to heat, and the hose being used slightly outside its rated pressure.
The shop made me up a brand new heavy duty hose there and then free of charge.

I've also been cutting the car up again. Although I'll let the photos do the talking here.

More to come soon

It will be meshed Russ and run an undershield during the winter months.
I don't think I would get a full duct in there as I'm not running a V mount setup.

Quick snap now it all done on the exterior.

Bonnet removed and stripped for paint.

Wayne it is the carbon one. It's just now in primer before I bonded it on.
Now the whole bonnet has gone for paint inside and out.

My one is the genuine Prodive works S7/8 vent. It's the real genuine article and I found it by fluke from a guy who didn't know what it was.

They're not made anymore

I just read this whole thread. Let me tell you..I am completely astonished at all the work you did to this car and how amazing it turned out. All you're hard work and countless hours finally paid off. You're car is by far(IMHO)the best looking bugeye, not to mention it's an sti bugeye which I'm extremely jealous about. Congrats on the build dude. I'm definitely going to keep following this thread as you never seem to disappoint. I wish I had the funds to do a motor build like this in my 2.5rs that I just picked up.

Thanks alot mate, kind comments indeed.

Bonnet requires polishing, final fitting and a number plate but I think she looks pretty hardcore now.
