Trial fitted the WRC splitter tonight.

No doubt this will split opinion, also have a UK300 splitter on the way. Quite like this though, looks aggressive.

iswydt.... haha!

The WRC splitter is the one for this car. The uk300 will be "prettier" but is that what the styling is really about here? I'm supposing the wrc model is tough as nails as well. Looks great this way! Will look sharp with the other I'm sure but this one gets my vote mate.

Cheers guys, just ordering some black alloy fasteners to fix it with. I looked at some titanium ones but they were out of my price range. Haha

This is as far as I've got today. All wiring from the dash back is now out, all deadening now gone and made a good start on removing most of the excess seam sealer.
Almost ready to start scotching up for paint, I'll get most of that done before the cage goes in because it's easier. Then it will all be prepped again once the tube work is in.

Yes I'm in the boot scraping sealer lol.

Can't wait to see how the cage and interior turn out Frayz's! Always have enjoyed your vision and the work you do on your car.

Following this up, I've carried on and done some more.

Complete AC system out.

With that in mind I got the trusty bathroom scales out.

Complete AC system was 13.2kg
Space saver & jack 20.1kg
Approx 15kg in misc parts (couldn't get them all on the scales)
11kg sound deadening.

So there a good 60kg before looking at bumper beams and the U brace is still on the car.
I'm yet to start on the doors too. It sounds daft but it's noticeably easier to push by hand.

I've also got a steel alternator bracket on the way so I'll dump the big chunk of ally too.

For some reason I've never read your build thread, I finally opened it up a few days ago and went through all 63 pages. It's like reading a gear head novel, when you stopped posting for a while it was a cliffhanger lol. Glad to see you've held onto the car and kept going on it.

Keep it up sir, it's a beautiful car & the attention to detail is amazing.

Here's how she looked last.

However she's been on the back burner for the last week as a rather well known rally drivers body shell needed finishing off and getting in the booth. I've posted some photos of the shell below.
The exterior still needs colour, but the underside and inside has been finished.
If mine comes out half as sexy as this, I'll be delighted!!

Work can now fully commence on mine this week.

i've read through every post these last 63 pages. My dear lord. Amazing build. Amazing attention to detail and all the custom made parts for the car. You sir have set my sights high for when i swap an Ej207 into my bugeye...and end up stripping the whole car down to do things the way i want them.

Subbed. best bugeye i've seen

Also, i read you have had trouble getting some parts in the UK. If you ever need someone to ship from US to UK, feel free to PM me.
