I think both of these look horrible; the hatch looks like a Mazda 3 and the body style of the sedan looks like a Mazda 6

Looks like the same pics posted in:

But yeah, I guess I should reserve judgment until I see one in person...

Well I'm still watching the Subaru's site countdown ..but if it's that thing at the end of this countdown I am going to be SOOOOO pissed.
With all the momentum that rally has received this past year, the publicity Subaru has gotten from that momentum, and in general the ever growing hype of AWD turbo and Subaru decides to re-birth there legendary Impreza into a Corrolla S!?

yeh im kinda confused on all this secrecy and hype: ie. the countdown and "rebirth of a legend" yet we end up with this thing. its like the huge drop after a coffee high. there better be something up subaru's sleeve.

We're not fitting 275's under that body...

Congrats, we're no longer Subaru's target market...

direct link to the photo gallery. It's a pain to get to from that article link above, it seems. Those tail lights really are ghastly. Truely the 'altezza' style taken to it's illogical extreme. At least the front grill doesn't seem to be chrome like from the motor trend pics.

Okay, I admit it, the interior looks sweet. Even if the side vents are literally the same exact design that was in my '00 2.5RS. Knowing Subaru, the parts are probably compatible.

do we get any back end shots of the sedan? could it possibly be worse than the hatch version back there that they need to not photograph it yet?

but yes, the interior does have some nice bits. tho liked the round air vents better than the square ones this will have. and with regards to the 2tone. that steering wheel is too bright for me. but at least im warming up to the interior of the car. too bad i could never bring myself to get in it after seeing the outside.

no aggresiveness for a turbocharged "sports car" ... come on... the new EVO X isnt the best looking car, but it looks damn aggressive and sporty... O well..

I wonder how the STI will look ...? *prays out loud* SANTA MARIA!!!

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

Here's the back-end:

Looks like the last series mustang's tail-lights were dropped on the ground and stapled to the back of a Sentra.
