This is all looking very promising despite the fact that after doing a ton of mods to my 07 2.5i then Sandy eating her in one fell swoop, I will not be modding my '13 sedan any time soon other than muddies.

News I guess it's better than stock.

Well it turns out that the Dorman product is stainless steel, but not the bolt, just the springs and the nuts. The bolts are galvanized and would eventually rust out.

Hard to say. I haven't settled on a final design yet, and am so utterly swamped with 2.5i header orders that it may be a few months before I have a production version ready for purchase. Anyone can place an order for a custom one though at any time by emailing me.

Not to worry, come winter you will have 2.0i goodies showered upon you. Until then you can place an order for a custom 4-2-1 header (as shown in previous posts) for $750, or just be patient until the production versions are available for purchase.

It has been a while since I posted anything so I'll throw you a bone and let you take a peek at what I've been running this summer. This was built for testing purposes only:

Yes, and although they made a made more mid-top end power, what I was looking for was more low-mid power out of these, so I consider it a fail.

Correct

Sorry, too late, I changed them to this:

We'll call these EL for comparison purposes, although they are NOT (cylinders 1,2,4 are EL to the valves, while cylinder 3 is 4-5 inches longer).

Here are some road dyno results:

STOCK

4-1 "EL"

Both runs were made with a HFC pipe, full 2.25" catback and the same tune.

This header was made with 1.5" primaries, instead of the 1.63" primaries I normally use (in an attempt to increase low-mid range power). What's special about this particular header is that for the first time (because of the large amount of room provided by the 2.0i) I am incorporating a OEM grade HM (Heavy Metal) catalyst (magnaflow part number 51184), to see if it will do a better job at keeping the cel away...

The problem is I don't drive nearly enough to give it a through long term testing, so If anyone that drives a lot and has $800 for a "kinda el" 2.0i header, email me through my website.

I am also looking for low-mid range power, will this be an available setup down the road?

Will you be selling the non-cat ver headers also in the near future?

Yes, I am making a header with the oem grade cat for a 2.5i customer with a very pissy ecu, to see if it will help avoid a cel.

I probably won't make it an option on my website, since not many 2.0i owners will be computer tuning and have the ability to disable the cel it will immediately throw. If you would like to order a custom header with cat delete, just email me [email protected]
