Default Interior Questions/Pics

Of all the Tribecas I've seen up close (which admitiedly isn't a large #), I have never seen the cloth interior, do any the owners here have the cloth interior? How does it compare to the look/feel (quality wise) of the leather?? Any good pics of the cloth interior? (as the only pics I've seen are shot's of the leather)

Don't have any pics, but the cloth interiors that we saw were inferior to say the least... I'm not prejudiced against fabric at all, but god, Subaru sure did get some blind weavers together for this one

Thanks for the response, I take it that you have one with the leather (which to me seems quite nice) interior then??, I guess I really shouldn't be surprised to hear something like this as other Subbies I've seen with cloth interiors seem to be hit or miss as far as the look/feel/quality of the cloth. However I guess I would have thought the Tribeca's cloth would be high(er) quality.

Still would like to see pics if anyone has em' as well as hear more opinions of those who either have seen or own Tribecas with cloth.

Sit in one at your local dealership. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it is really the only way you can find out first hand.

Personally, I think the cloth is fine, but the leather is far better!

Not for nothing HB, but if I could do that, do you think I would have bothered to ask about it here???? (also not trying to be a jerk)
The dealers around here barely have Limited's on the lot, let alone base models.

we have one base model Tribeca and ill tell you flat out the cloth models just doesnt sell we've had it for at least 3 months now from a dealer trade.. its OK but at 30k not too many people seem to want leather seats.. the quality of the seats is great but ALL the tribecas we've sold have ALL been leather

Leather lasts and looks good for a long time. It can be wiped off with ease when there's a spill. One wrong spill on cloth and it's never the same. Get the leather. I wouldn't deal with a cloth interior again if you paid me!

I think it depends on the car though. I would not have anything but leather in my B9 because the dog will go in there and the kids. Like you say much easier to clean. However, I had leather put in my 99RS and while nice looking it was a bugger during an Auto-X because I was always sliding around. Now with my Forester XT I have cloth and I'm held in the seat better which is nice. Also the seat heaters work a lot quicker with cloth than leather I don't plan on doing any quick manuvers in the B9 though so Leather is much better IMHO On the con side leather is colder at first in the winter and sticky and hot in the summer.
