Yeah, hopefully someday. I had an eye appt the other day and he said he had no problem writing a prescription for tint, but he had to look up the regulations. So hopefully I'll have that soon, and then I can get something a little darker than 50%.

I'm looking to do some shifter comparisons now. Hoping to get some more measurements from the stock gearbox and knob, with various shift levers:

I have 20% all around and 50% on the windshield. A year later it is much lighter- so unless you get the ceramic stuff that is something to be considered. I LOVE my tint now (felt like a cave at first), only time it's a problem is backing up at nigh. I've been pulled over for it once; and 30% is legal in MD. No actual "legal" issues, but I don't drive like an a$$ and am obviously a responsible adult when dealing our service members in the community.

Both downpipes seem nice to me, and I didn't notice a real difference in sound between catted and catless. The casting on the COBB bellmouth was a little nicer for intstall because you can actually get a socket on it. The Invidia has little to no room. Ends up being a closed end wrench.

Also a note is that I switched from the stock manifold to the Invidia EL Race header when I had the GReddy Ti-C on my car. This changed the sound pretty significantly so it's hard to really compare some of the exhausts before/after, but I'll try anyways.

As for exhaust, my current winner is the GReddy SP Elite due to looks, fitment, ground clearance, and sound. It is very quiet, so it's not for everyone. It will be louder/rumblier with an UEL manifold, but I don't know how much. I absolutely love the look of the tips on this exhaust. That alone makes it so desirable for me. It is also pretty light for a full muffler.

The other number one (I guess you could say) is the GReddy Ti-C. Great fitment and ground clearance. Great flow and very aggressive look. Nice aggressive sound without being unrefined. Very light. For someone looking for performance above all else, this one is great. I love how aggressive it looks. It was a little loud for me, but really is not that bad compared to others.

After this it starts to get a bit blurred to me. The ARK and SPT are both very nice, IMO, and both have pluses and minuses. The ARK is basically drone free, excellent quality, full 3", and has a unique look that no one else matches. But the burnt/rolled tips aren't my style, and the low ground clearance is a bother. It is also very expensive and very heavy.

The SPT has beautiful flared tips and a very nice sound with minimal drone. The downsides are smaller piping (which doesn't matter for many people) and low ground clearance at the rear diff (which usually doesn't matter as much as in the midpipe). If you're on the stock turbo and willing to buy used, then the SPT is a real winner, IMO. If you have money to burn and/or want a unique look, than the ARK is very nice as well.

The Q300 is actually a pretty nice exhaust. Quality and fitment is good. It is full 3". The tips fill out the bumper and look very nice to many people. The drone and ground clearance are undesirable to me. While the drone isn't anything like an N1 Race, it is just so much more than it should be for a resonated exhaust with a full size muffler. This could be a good exhaust for many people. It's just not for me.

The last one is the Tsudo. It's a cheaper one, but the fitment isn't very good. Quality was OK, but the flanges didn't line up that great and it hits the rear diff and heat shields. The tips are uneven. The sound was OK, but had some drone. Overall not that loud. It is very heavy. Maybe more so than the ARK. I wouldn't recommend this for most people unless you find a great deal on it.
I wonder how the Q300 for you guys with quad tips is vs the one I have for a single exit 2010 hatch? I know mine has **** ground clearance. But the sound was pretty good and I didn't think it had much drone to be honest. I'm on the stock catback now and while it's nice on the highway, I don't really think it's that much quieter than the Q300.

Thank you for the measurements!

I think I'd probably get the good tint, so hopefully it wouldn't change. I think 30% or so will be OK for me. I'm not looking to go overly dark.

The quad tip hatch Q300 is the only loud one. The sedan versions, the single exit hatch, and all the prior Q300's are quite tame. It is very misleading when people think they're getting a quiet exhaust and then it's not.

Yes, it's the stock shifter and the SPT short throw shifter.

what's the difference between spt and sti short throw? is it that if you buy it after you already have the car instead of as an option they call it spt?

Same thing. It is made by "SPT" (as are all Subaru add-on's), but listed as "STI Short Throw". I usually call it SPT to avoid confusion with the 6 speed tranny.

It's hard to tell with them not all lined up but it almost looks like the SPT has a shorter throw than the kartboy.

The Kartboy and SPT are both more notchy than stock, but that's expected. Neither are notchy to the point of being bad. The Kartboy is marginally more notchy than SPT, but actually less than I expected. I was kind of surprised. I could definitely use either. Sometimes I do prefer the taller lever that the SPT has. The height is also a reason I sometimes like the stock knob over your round one (and this is why I really want a piston ). I definitely prefer the feel of the weighted knob though. I occasionally swap knobs back and forth. Usually use the heavy one though.
