Williaty: if you can, test the afr and other parameters in the entire rpm range or in a few different ranges to see where it helps/hurts the most. if you PM me data id be happy to make some graphics to show visually what changes occurred like graphs, plots, etc.

I ordered the Group A Pitch Stop (engine mount) and it took 10 days from shipment to the time it arrived in Minnesota (right next to canada mind you). Must be homeland security issue... automotive parts = terrorism risk.

My cosmo intake came from Canada and took only one day to clear customs. Then it took the standard shipping time. I got it in the standard 7-10 day shipping time and upon watching it with the tracking info it didnt take any longer because of customs whatsoever.

With that said, intake manifold design is a pretty complex thing, with lots of variables at play that can affect how well the manifold performs. Longer runners tend to boost low end performance at the cost of top end. Obviously the TBS won't change the length of the runners, but perhaps there is some improvement in low end with the TBS as a result of the throttle body to intake valve distance being increased? My personal dyno testing seemed to show essentially no difference in TBS vs. non-TBS down to maybe 3000 or 2500rpm or so, but I didn't try to test any lower than that. Quote:

How can you be so quick to call someone an idiot? Do you even have the facts?? First off it was an M5. The kid had the limiter removed. He was doing in excess of 160. He had a car full of extra weight. He was 18. The car had 500hp. If someone who most obviously has more driving experience and brains than an 18 year old wants to drive the **** out of an M3 at an airstrip by all means let him. I think he will know when to brake, and I don't think he will invite 4 of his friends either. I cant believe that you can compare people like that. |

Looks like OT is invading the rest of the forums, they must be getting bored in there.

I call it like I see it. Trying to test the top speed of your car on a runway that you shouldn't be on, running from the cops, and then coming onto a internet forum and telling others about it as though you were providing valuable advice strikes me as pretty frickin' idiotic.

He didn't RUN from the cops, HE evaded them on his own turf. Something most anyone would do. RUNNING from the cops is a whole different show.... Stop calling someone on something that you have no right to. He was on PRIVATE property, in a controlled environment doing his thing. If you want to take it past there, feel free, but you made your point and so did we. |
