Default TXIC, who here has an 02 WRX and cant help me out?

So, I am in Iraq and my car has a major power steering leak that is dripping on to my header. The leak is coming from the PS pressure hose, right where it turns from hard line to rubber. My brother is a land rover mechanic and offered to fix the leak for me, but when he had his parts guy call there sister Subaru dealership they told him the line was $270! So me being the cheapskate I am decide I am gonna check out the salvage threads and find a used line, I locate one from an 03 and dont think twice, well, when the line shows up, the drop for the banjo fitting isnt long enough, and won't reach the pump. The line on my 02 has a noticeably longer drop then the 03 line. A closer look reveals that the 03's used a shorter line with a brass riser on the power steering pump. See exhibit A:

So after realizing the line would in fact not work with out said riser, i go to subaru genuine parts where they comfirm that the parts are not one in the same and carry different part numbers and prices. So, my options were to 1, source out a riser, or 2, find the proper line off an 02. I chose the latter, and more expensive. I located a line off an 02 on ebay, but the line said that it was for 02-03, so I kindly informed the seller that the parts were in fact not the same. I asked and was assured that the line came off an 02, so i ordered it, my wife took it to my brother just so he could tell me it was identical to the last line i just bought.

So, sorry so long winded, but I was wondering if any body with an 02 could check there PS pump set up, and confirm that this riser doesn't exist. Who knows, maybe my car is a freak? If it doesn't however, could some one take a photo and post it up for me so I can use it to try to get a refund and get my dang car fixed! Any help is appreciated! I would have my brother do it, but he is not with my car, and wont be for a few days, and I am trying to take care of this sooner than later.

Take the hose off, take it to a hydraulic fitting/hose shop and have them make a copy. It will probably cost under $20.
