Default SuperScout - How do you get around it?

We have SuperScout at work, and while it doesn't bother most of my web activities, every once in a while it blocks something that I don't understand at all. Not pr0n! I haven't tried that yet.

Any ideas on how to get around it?

Well, you e-mail your boss and say "I need to get to this site for this business reason." Chances are they'll turn it on.

Other than that, it's being blocked way upstream from your PC. You can get around it with a VPN setup to an external PC with internet access, and once you setup your work desktop to connect over that VPN you'd had might as well walk to your network admin and say "Hi, I want to download pr0n and other stuff at work" because that's the message it's going to send them.

Try using a proxy, unless it is monitoring network packets then you dont have much of a chance.

Yeah we have Finjan and Websence here at work. It plays havok with some connections.

Easiest way would be to make your home PC a terminal server (if you have a BB connection). Connect to that, then browse the web from there.
