ok if a girl answers? hope so..
i used FOLIATEC a brush on system... *Do you have to take any thing apart to paint the brake calipers ? depends on how good/thorough of a job you want to do... i removed the brake pads, removed the bolts and let the calipers 'hang' if you will... acutally i set blocks of wood underneath them while painting.... this way they were detached, yet the brake line was still intact, made it easy to paint... *And any parts need to cover it carefully ?? if you want to tape off and paint, get lots of masking tape, take your time and tape off EVERYTHING that's important... ** And what are the instruction ?? foliatec came w/good instructions... easy, brush on, thick and looks great! took 24 hours to dry... **Any parts need to clean thru ?? i cleaned everything w/the supplied brake cleaner first... any other questions.... feel free to post here or email... j. www.subiegal.com |

One other tip, although I haven't done mine on the RS yet I've found that if there is a tough to mask section that you don't want paint on and it dosen't come in contact with the breaking surface in any way shape or form, a light coating of grease will prevent the paint from sticking. After the paint dries you can just wipe it off. I did this on some spring clips and rubber bits I couldn' t put masking tape on. Just my $0.02. I need to do mine some day.

i've heard high temp paint works it just wears off a little faster than the foliatec, not a problem if you're willing to repaint them...
