Advice please nitrous and what plugs to get?
I still need to get plugs Im woundeirng to those nitrous users out there, what plugs you are running I want to get the NGK-BKR7E, but I got a response from Summit Racing saying that the NGK_BKR7E are only 1 step colder than the MY99 R.S. they didnt have listings for the MY00 & MY01 heres the response I got:
The BKR7E is a 14mm 3/4" reach with a 5/8 hex. This plug would be 1 step colder than the plug listed for the 1999 2.5. Unfortunately, I have no listing for the 2001 to determine if there have been any changes. AC Should I still get them?

Stay with the stock plug temp, i ran nitrous on my rs and had no problems! your only squeezing for a few seconds at a time. I'v here that the car will run like crap most of the time with a colder plug with out boost?

andy i'd got with at least 1 stage colder if not 2...the 2 stage colder plugs are BR8ES-11....these are available at pep boys...stock number 7986(at least they used to be available there)
You are supposed to go 2 stages colder for nitrous or turbo. jeremy |

You need to go at least 1 heat range colder to keep things safe when you are "on the bottle". I run NGK BKR7E's in my car and it runs fine on and off the bottle. The stock # is 6097, 'bout $2.50 each. Go get some, and remember to use anti-seize on the threads and dielectric grease on the boots. Good Luck

AndyM, Go 2 ranges colder, but i dont think you should use a standard antiseize product because they use glassbeads which can cause poor conductivity of heat and electricity when the liquid burns/evaporates away and leaves only the beads. Use a copper/bronze brake grease this will leave copper/bronze material which is a very good conducter. of heat and electricity. 22BKEEPER

For nitrous applications set it between .030 and .035 . Mine are at .030 right now.
