what r the chances of 5x98 wheels fitting on our cars?
please dont flame me for this, im just curious. since 5x98 and 5x100 r so close, what r the chances of them fitting on our cars? i've seen ppl fitting 4x108 wheels on a 4x114.3 car b4, so fitting 5x98 wheels on our cars shouldnt be too hard right?

You could make them fit just notch the holes in the right direction. Of course it would be stupid and dangerous, but you could make it work.
Just get wheels that are the right size. |

If you do it, use a drill press and clamp the wheel tight on it. You can get notch in the direction you need this way far safer.

That's for each hole though, you're looking at a smaller bolt circle. I suppose you can try to shove it in there, but don't come crying back here when you find out you tweaked all 5 of your lugnuts and now they're crooked (I've heard of that happening on other cars with owners who just thought "eh close enough" ) |

Well, since it's a 2mm difference in the diameter of the bolt circle, that means each lug hole would be 1mm closer to the center of the wheel. I don't think there would be a 1mm tolerance on the lug holes, unless it's a poorly made wheel. Even if the wheel did fit over the studs, the lug nuts wouldn't be able to seat properly. I sure wouldn't risk it on my car.

Just ask yourself this...is it worth the look? because the look of those wheels on your car when its flipped over in a ditch because the 1mm was too much. Dude, its just not worth it. Get the right wheels. LOOKS ARE NEVER AS IMPORTANT AS SAFETY.

1MM = .0393 inches thats .0786 of a inch.Dont DO IT!Asking for many probs doing this.Safety first off with a chance to shear studs.Even if it did not shear it would be a out of round nightmare. With OD runout of around .005 on a good wheel stack the .0786 and it will ride like woofy wagger remember the pull behind you dog toy you had as a kid.Brad
