PlastiDipped my wrx badge...looks pretty I think good considering the only other chrome piece on my car is my exhaust and trunk key hole. Even consdiering plastidipping the key hole also. It was very easy. just taped off the area around the badge. a square shape and sprayed it right on. used a razor blade to get the edges and boom. done.

The key hole will be a little more difficult, you would want to get it power coated, as it would chip easily, unless you don't use it, then by all means go for it haha.

Sorry but that's not unique... Besides there is already 2 plasti-dip threads.

I'll have to do this eventually to the "S U B A R U" for the chrome is starting to come off in the weirdest places... (bottom areas that don't get direct sun light..)

At any rate, don't know what I will do yet.

For those saying this isn't unique... it's border line.. but yes it should be put in the plastidip threads.

Really? The only reason this one popped off is that my CAI filter is WAYYYYY TOOOOOO BIG!!! It actually pushes against the vent trim it's so dang large...

I put my vent trim back in place after trimming the CAI tube 1.5" so that the filter would fit better.

I used to have one of those Hurst shifters in my old 76 Plymouth. They feel good.

They make a pistol grip style one that doesn't look all that bad and has a good weight to it.

Perhaps being from the UK I don't quite get that Hurst shifter, but isn't it meant for your big yank automatics?

Painted boot badge as a 'unique mod' hahha. Just get rid of them completely as who wants to know you drive a WRX.

I've driven a car with that type of shift knob and I hated it. My friend's old car had one and after I drove it I just kept wondering why people like how it feels. To each their own, but I don't like Hurst shift knobs at all.

Pretty much ya (Hurst or B&M), I've never seen anyone use it on a manual, but hey if he likes it on his car that's fine with me haha

I could've guessed both your member #'s just by reading these jackass comments.

On topic of that shifter. I support it. Especially if you have big hands they have a really natural feel to them and seem to flow with a little more precision than a ball style. And on that short throw it looks gangster as f**k. Rock it.

THIS.

People need to realize that everyone else's car is not their own, and they are not entitled to tell anyone what to do with it.

Did you pay for the car or mods? No, you say? Then ****.

Having an opinion about something is one thing, but taking it to the point of trying to tell someone else what to do with THEIR car just to suit your own taste is ridiculous. I mean has having tact in the way you say something just completely blown over people's heads anymore?

05-07 Mercury Mariner bumper cut to fit my 98 forester race car.

Also I got a custom v-mount on there. Other things that I've done or are going to do that probably belong here...

Custom forward mount turbo kit w/ custom un-equal length twin scroll header.
Custom increased steering angle kit
Custom outside the b-pillar intrusion beam
Custom relocated dash harness
Custom camber/ caster a-arms

Etc... I miss posting in this thread..

^^ That looks awesome. Did you do any work to that intake mani to get it to fit better? The one thread I've seen on here about it made it seem like they came with so many issues (non-centered injector bosees, improperly sized butterflys, etc)

I actually think it's pretty neat. I dunno how it would feel, but I won't bash it, especially since I haven't tried it.

Do you have any more pictures of the bumper? Interested to see how it turns out.
