Can't wait to see this project finished. If it's going to be at sema, I will see it there and swing in and say Hi.

****ty day today.. Phone call this AM, after I get off from my graveyard shift..

My Brake setup cannot be finished in the "nickel" finish.. Basically no Chrome/polished look... atleast for now.. The Guys at Movit, said to pick a color.. So far IM thinking Black caliper, white logo.. .will look the best right now..

Why can't they be finished in chrome/polished? They showed you a picture of them done as well as let you order them under that impression.

**** movit, sell those wheels and get polished endless brakes front and rear.

Looks very good, nice attention to detail and the engine to back it up. I'll be sure to swing by and say hello at SEMA. The only critisicm I have is, you say you're building a show/track car, but are you really planning on putting it out on the track with this much paint/body/show stuff going into it? Most track cars are held together by duct tape and zip ties, you know? haha

Either way the car looks hot. Nice work.

Chris, D is right if they can't accomadate you with the brakes you want then go somewhere else! If you want you can get them polished so they look chrome I have a guy here that is awesome! But there must be someone near you where you can get something else or the movit polished! If you must get these then I would match the car colour with white or silver writing! Black won't stand out with those wheels bro!

I agree with you guys.. I am trying to work this situation out.. I am trying to just get them sent stateside in raw finish, and I will have my polish guy work his magic on them. Endless brakes are great... But everyone I know has them.. I really like the HRE's.. There really is quite a good lip on them.. The pics dont do the wheels any justice.. Im just trying to get the damn car up and running, before I completely go broke..

Thanks for all the kind words and enthusiasm!! I will let you know what i come up with for the brakes..

Polished Movit 6 Piston Front/Rear Billet Calipers 380mm Carbon/Ceramic Rotors.

I am having the calipers sent to me unfinished, and will be having my polish guy do what he does.. waiting to hear back from germany to confirm this..

Car will be kept clean trust me..

Which brake setup are you going with?

I'm secretly hoping that the body of the car will be kept looking relatively clean and free of wild graphics and the like? I do understand, however, that the show circuit appears to dictate that "louder is better".

Keep up the good work!

I still think you should go with a premier jdm wheel and endless brakes.

Of course you could have those movits polished/chromed here but that is MORE money and not what you anticipated doing in the first place since Movit told you it was an option.

I like everything about the car besides the wheels/brakes but hey, it's not my car.

hmm.. I will look into that..
shoulda have gone endless 6 piston in the first place.. Priced for the full bbk setup from endless is a helluva lot cheaper than these Movits..

D- To be honest, the wheels didnt come out the exact way I wanted either.. However, when you order custom one-off 3 piece HRE's they aren't cheap. I just cannot bring myself to spend another 8k+ on wheels, because I know I will not be able to sell the HRE's. I like the wheels.. not as much as my old work emotions, but they will have to make do.

again, what does that have to do with his build? That quesiton is always asked and it's irrelevant.

Because money doesn't grow on trees. Looking at the cost of this build, you can assume he is making a fair amount of money, which would imply that he has a job/career that pays well. Which also leads people to curiosity on how they too, can make money.

Sorry that you never ask questions when you're curious about something...

WOW, just wow! This build is amazing. I agree that you should keep the calipers polished. It will have nice contrast agains the wheels. I can not wait to see numbers and spool response with your TS turbo and your IC set up! Car is absolutely awesome so far.

This is had nothing to do with my build/thread.. I am always asked this question a lot.. P&G Stock is doing very well in this horrid economy. compared to others.
It is annoying to an extent.. Things I do are kept private.. If you absolutely need to know then PM me..Please dont post publicly about these things. otherwise, I am keeping it simple.

weird, you hit the nail on the head. Just graduated business school, wondering what my niche is (i.e. how i make my millions, ha).

Many of the people I know with highly modified cars got their $$$ through illegitimate means, so I'm always curious to know how those who didn't (and you clearly have more class than that) have the $$$ for such amazing and costly builds (I'm guessing all those parts alone are worth more than the car itself).

Sorry for prying, just curiosity!
