4 puck clutch question
I'm looking at the act 4 puck clutch. The act street clutch is slipping. I can't decide between unsprung or sprung. I would like quick engagement. Daily driving isn't a factor. Would a 4 puck be over kill who 525whp on a mustang dyno?

I would probably recommend a six puck spring center disc for two reasons:
1. A solid center disc is harder on the transmission and the splines will tend to wear out much faster than a sprung center disc. 2. Six pucks tend to engage a little less violent and there is 50% more material to soak up the heat of the clutch making it last longer and be more forgiving if it is ever overheated. There might be some rare exceptions for this recommendation. |

I am running a sprung hub clutch masters 4 puck with over 500whp the pedal feel is nearly factory, I love the clutch and would recommend it to anyone. Either way I would tell you to stay away from a unsprung hub.

OP needs to read http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=775679 as stating WHP means zero to a clutch.
