Is there a delta shop in Washington ?
How many times have you been pulled over for the green HIDS? Lol. Guess they're better than the punks driving with the 10000k blue ones in a halogen housing. Plus you've got the projectors so it ain't as bad..

Delta Cams is based in Tacoma.

A halogen projector is not really any better with HID bulbs than a halogen reflector.

Again, what pistons are they? Are they the same diameter as stock, or did you bore the block? Did you change the compression ratio? You pulled the engine, completely disassembled it, replaced just the pistons, and then put it back together? What was the point of that?

There is no 'real power' in rs/2.5i's unless you've done a lot more than listed.

Stock is roughly 115 whp give or take at 1/3 loss so your telling us these mods you've done gained you nearly 80 hp?

Yeah me too. The parts that are actually still in my car only total about $900 and I'm making the same numbers this guy claims to be. Only difference is that I have personally tested the parts this guy has on his car and I know they don't make the power he's claiming.

Lol I guesstimated bout 1k so I guess I was close. For the money he claimed I'm 100% sure u could build an engine that doesn't only yield "35 HP" lol.

Valid point. All told, I've got about $9k (wholesale) in parts in my car. If you count the parts I've thrown out, I'm somewhere around $15k probably. If someone brought a car to me for the same work (I opened my own shop about a year and a half ago), I'd have about $60k in labor into the car at this point. That's counting everything, though, all the experimentation, repairs after I blew **** up, etc. If I just went straight to the final product, I could probably do it again for about $9k in parts and $10k in labor. That's engine, driveline, and suspension.

Note to others on the forum: If you haven't already added up how much you've spent on your car, DON'T.

900 bucks bro that's just in the tune intake pully ( note I have a full pully system and belts)
And no not with labor..
If u guys don't know it's fairy simple to get power from your engine if u know what ur doing and what to put into it not just throw **** on it like most people do which is point less and they cry about how they car doesn't pull or has no power game .
Here u guys go
Pistons
Headers
Valves springs
Bored
Tune
Pully system
Str8 pipe with cat
Intake
Fuel injectors 650cc
Pumps
Spark plugs and wired

Waiting on cam and simple upgrades
That makes power during dyno it was about 70% built
So yea see u guys at track days

Again, you really need to search because there's at least 3 posters in this thread who are trying to talk to you who have been here, done that, and wrote most of the book on it. You're coming off like some 16 year old kid with a fartcan on his Honda.

$650- best header on the market
$180- cams
$5- best intake on the market
$15- tune (KKL cable is the only cost, software is free).

That's actually only $850. Not even $900. And it's been dynoed above what you're claiming.

Now, to add the other things you're claiming:
$450- pistons
$500- valves, springs, retainers, keepers
$90- valve job to match new valves to seats
$75- block bored and honed to match new pistons
$80- Injectors from a STi (will flow more than you'll ever need for NA)

By the way, the pulley isn't a power-adder and it's not a ****ing straight pipe if it has a cat it in. Plugs and wires are a maintenance item, not go-fast parts. Unless you're significantly raising the stock redline, the valves and springs are a waste of money. In fact, given the mods you list, they're a waste of money because raising the redline to the point that the valves start floating due to the low spring rate is going to be ****ing pointless because the engine isn't breathing up there.

Go read his intake thread, which is a sticky and awesome.

But I would like to know how you built a hybrid for $5. I think I'm in for about $50.

The only part that comes from eBay is the cable to allow my laptop to talk to my ECU.. If you paid significantly more than that for any of your parts, that shop raped you hardcore. Headers are Techworks Engineering. Anything else is crap. Cams are from Delta because they're good value. Piston price I listed is for TWE. Valve and spring price is for Supertech parts that were designed by TWE. Prices for machine shop work are what I pay on a weekly basis for the local machine shop.

Again, if you are paying significantly more than that for your parts, the shop you're working with is ripping you off.

It's because I have the most ghettorific intake in the history of mankind. It's still the original development prototype. It's made from spare tubing scrounged from the shop floor plus some plumbing parts. The best part is that it flows within 1% of the $$$ fully-tig-welded, custom fit production prototype I got when I was looking to get a manufacturer to make them commercially for me.

My car is a development mule. It's in a constant state of looking like crap because there's always a new dev part or prototype on it. Hell, I have that engine in and out so often I've actually worn out the threads in the bellhousing that hold the engine to the tranny.

6k? You could have probably swapped for a turbo engine, you could have actually done a supercharger or turbo charger with some reinforced parts with a safe tune for that..
