So i bought rota grids for my bugeye. They are 17x9.5. The tires are 205. Way too small.

I could either leave the tire stretch and drop it on coils.
Or should i buy the right ritting tires, roll the fenders, and keep my springs.

Or...

Buy right fitting tires, roll the fenders and still drop it on coils.

Or... Leave it alone and don't touch anything. If You're not willing to do what's required for wider wheels and tires it isn't worth half assing it then complaining/disliking it later then having to do what you already knew had to be done before you got the wheels. Stock height won't require any fender modifications because the wheel gap on stock struts and stock springs are really high and unless you're doing some dukes of hazard **** that won't do anything. It'll look funny with the wheels sticking out past the fenders with or without adjusting camber (also required).

Just stating the obvious.

haha agree'd...not to hard to do though just get yourself a vf swap going and supporting mods. My wagon made 305whp/302wtq on a mustang dyno and my friends 09 sti made 290whp/320wtq on a mustang dyno, he had a full tbe with tune. We did a few fun high way pulls and it was really really close but I won all of our runs and I must say it felt good to be able to say my lil bugeye was faster then a stage 2 sti even if it was only slightly.

If your buying the coil overs just because they enable your car to go extremely low your doing it wrong.

It really depends on what his plans are for his car. But even for stretched tires, 205 sounds awfully stretched. I've spoken to a couple people that runs 235 and it fits perfectly fine without rubbing. Assuming he wants to achieve that lowered stance look, you're gonna need coilovers, roll & possibly pull depending on the rim/tire specs.

I've always believed coilovers were handy because if you buy the right one, you can always adjust your height if needed, plus the dampening and camber plates will always come in handy if provided. Just my .02

This is true. But far less people buy them for that purpose. Most buy them so they can slam the crap out of their car and then brag about how great it handles.

Also I never understood why you would run a 9 or 10 inch wide wheel and then put tires made for a 7.5 or 8" wheel. Kind of defeats the purpose of running a wider wheel. Just makes your car look like a poser. IMO

I cannot slam my car... Live in the Bronx. And i want to make the car look good. It has 205s on it now and is seriously stretched and looks stupid. Im going with either 235 or 255 and rolling the fenders. Coils maybe

Did the foglight mod and put my projectors back on.

i'm well sure that everyone will want it to be lower or faster or whatever but those things don't make sense when it's hard to afford gas money to get to the mountains as is.
