Default Dom III on Race fuel + Methanol

I know everyone is tired of the Dom 3.0R, especially my posts, But I did a Methanol and Race fuel tune.

2007 STi
Aquamist hfs-5 75% Methanol 25% distilled water
5 gallons of 104 octane and 3ish of pump 91 mix, roughly 99 ocatne.
APS TMIC
Peak boost is 25.8 tapering to 22ish
Peak timing up top around 25*
Mustang Dyno at ~4500 ft above sea level
65* F. in the dyno room
Special thanks to John Shafer at Cobb Tuning. Thanks for bringing power to Utah!

406 torq and 398.5 whp. We tried more boost and timing and it just wouldn't budge so we backed it down to the lower boost and timing that made the same power. Blue is torq. Red is power, Green is boost, grey is AFR, Enjoy...

And here is my plot against a 2006 C6 Corvette Z06 for kicks and giggles. I am the dotted lines, corvette is the solid lines

100% stock block. The only thing change form the intake manifold to the Up-pipe is the TGV's and injectors.

I did a leak down test before I had this tune done. I would recommend the same. There was a guy 2 days ago that was doing the same thing as me with the Dom III and Meth but on a 2.0L and his motor was gone. They hooked it up to a smoke machine to check for intake/boost leaks and smoke started pouring out the exhaust.

I would almost discourage the q16 tune. Just because once you feel the extra power, you will want it all of the time and the regular pump tune will feel slower than before.

i wil only use the Q16 tune 2~3 times a year at the local 1/8th mile track so i dont think the power crack will get me addicted. i just need it to stay ahead of my dads 560 whp gt500. yes i do smoke him pretty good but just because he spins 3/4 track. this year hes got stickies, im in trouble.

so you should get some stickies! I opted for Toyo Proxes R888's and when I drag the car I will put my coilovers on near full soft so it can load the car better.

stellar, my best 1/8 mile is an 8.0 at 91 mph. But this is at altitude, my car would be a different animal at sea level.

looks like a great setup....especially the way it holds power to redline. looks like the perfect daily driver to me.

anyway to over the 91+meth plot on there too so we can see the difference in the race gas tune....and even just 91?

I can do this. Cobbs printer is broken and they are getting a new one right now, so that is why this one is a different looking dyno. I will see what I can get.

Thanks again.

I think we need more people comparing there cars with Z06's on dyno plots. This will help get rid of the "Which dyno reads higher/lower" crap. We all know the Z06 is fast, and if you are close or more than one, then you are fast. I would bet that a lot these 400 whp STi's and WRX's are further from a C6 Z06 than they think.

Great numbers for Utah...such a difference from Utah to San Diego...I had to retune the RSTi I bought from Brood...so I know if you brought your setup to SD, you would be well over 450hp!!!
CONGRATS!

That is awesome, I dig the z06 vs STi dyno graph. Both cars are sick.

^^^ Thanks! I really think more people should do plots with something like the Z06. It would be a better barometer for power.
