Default UTEC valet mode: safe to drive in?

I know this sounds like a stupid question but are there any bad consequences of running in the valet mode for a prolonged period of time. Just for fun i drove around town in this mode and it felt like driving my old RS! Ahhhh the memories.

Some valet modes significantly retard the timing, which may raise EGTs too much.

If you have an EGT gauge you can verify this. With the low boost it probably is not a concern.

Interesting, even with the peak boost capped off at 7-8 psi?

I don't know, I'm just saying that would be the only thing I would be worried about. I also said:

You might also fowl your sparkplugs running in valet mode for extended periods of time. And you might damage your cats if you did for a long enough time.

Why does valet mode change the fuel/air mixture?

Yeah and my map #1 is the stage one which would be over-rich fuel map for the delayed timing of the valet mode.

I guess i would have to put low low-octane timing map in slot #1 in order to make valet mode actually driveable.
