the 1995 RX-7 belongs to my father. I beat him twice in my GT at a local auto-x. I think he needs more practice controling the twin turbos.

Very sweet looking. I have always loved the Legacy GT. The wheels really make it look evil.

So can you change the front grill on the Legacy? And does anyone know where I can find a couple of pics?

Thanks for the nice words guys!

-- Subysouth: It is an automatic, as the Limiteds models were only available with an auto trany.

-- Dre2932: Yes, you can change the front grill on the Legacy GT. I ordered a Syms front grill that I am waiting to receive. I will post pics once it is installed. There are other grills available for the Legacy GT, but most of them are very hard to find in the US. Challenger Deep sells a RFRB Grille for the GT.

Click here for some pictures of Legacys with aftermarket grills:
http://www.geocities.co.jp/MotorCity...ry/gallery.htm

Here is a pic of the Syms Legacy GT with the Syms front grill I ordered.

I think the grill swap is gonna be sweet. Now maybe the morettes..... I'm modding my Legacy vicariously through you.

Arrow Morettes

-- Subysouth: Funny you should suggest Morettes, because I just bought a set from a recent group buy. They are supposed to arrive in the next few weeks. I am not sure if I will like the looks of them more than the stock headlights, but the beam pattern should be far superior. Again, I will post pics when they arrive. Any other suggestions, as you are "vicariously" modding your Legacy through me.

They are ? I dunno about 1998, but my 1999 Legacy 2.5 GT Limited is a 5-speed. I guess mine must be a freak of nature.

-- Jonathan: I am quite sure that 1998 Legacy GT Limiteds were only available with an automatic tranny. But, I could be wrong, as I often am . Anyone else out there have a Limited with a manual tranny?

I don't think the auto is so bad. I think that it may even be an advantage when I am autocrossing. It is also great during long trips up to the mountains.

Dont tell your father this but you have an inherant advantage because the na subaru has a better low to mid range torque curve than the tt rx-7 you see the turbos although concentric still need time/revs to spool up and in your typical autox course there are no open straights for the turbocharged engine to shine oh and the all wheel drive, enough said.

happy racing
Dan

Oh yeah, I like the car, Ihave an 01 GT Ltd. and I recently ordered a set of anthrocite oz superleggras, Ill post pics as soon as they arrive. later

-- Whitt: THanks for the info. I know there must be more to my beating my father's RX-7 than my driving skills . Interestingly, in another Auto-X, my father and I both drove his RX-7 and we both drove my GT. Needless to say I beat him in both cars by almost 4 seconds. I guess pops needs to spend more time practicing on the windy streets near our house. I have to give hip props for letting me drive his 7, as I flung it ALL over the course. I look forward to seeing pics of your GT.
