Thanks..

Front was just pop clips on the bottom, top was just clipped on the back in 3 places very easy to remove.

Back was pop clips on the bottom and some nasty double sided tape on the top that held it to the bumper. Not to hard to take off. The residiual tape left on the bumper however took me 1.5 hours and a lot of WD40.

Two phone pics of the new pipe, install day. Love how it makes the hatch look like it needs to be neutered
It set off a car alarm in a parking structure yesterday. I liked it.

Are the pieces remountable after you remove it? I've been thinking about getting the bumper guards...want to ship them to hawaii? I'll send you more HIC stickers

The front is definitely re-useable. Its not a bad piece, I was considering having mine painted and re-mounted.

From what I understand from BlueDoom, the rear should be re-useable as well, with fresh adhesive.

Yeah both are remountable. Just need to replace the doublesided tape on the top of the rear bumper guard.

MT_Pockets..... I am jealous!!!...that looks great! How long did it take to swap grills?

Not too bad, maybe 45 minutes in the dark with makeshift tools. (didnt have my shorty phillips handy)

I went the route of going from above to get the screws in/out as others have mentioned, afterwards my wrists looked like an emo-wannabe.

The sport grill looks 100% better, changes it from a chrysler pacifica to a subaru.. do it! I will say it doesnt fit quite as good as stock. The plastic isnt flush with the headlight as you can kinda see in the pic. Still worth it.

Now I need to find someone with a non-obs to swap me headlights...

I was hoping to install a WRX diffuser.
Apparently it is not sold seperately from the entire bumper cover.
Sure does look like it would easily come off to me.

Why is the rear bumber underguard, of the 08 black OBS pictured in this thread, silver in color??? Do all OBS's come with silver underguards regardless of their color?

I'm about to purchase a 09 black OBS, but have not seen full pictures of one. I have seen the sage green and the steel silver.

Thanks.

BlueDoom,

Do you have a picture of your front underguard when you still had it on???

cars101 has a picture of the backend of a black OBS, but not the front.

Thanks

I got rear-ended on the way home from work tonight. An 02' Chrysler Sebring, came out of nowhere in bumper to bumper traffic, and plugged my stopped car pretty hard.

His front end got worked, my OBS just seemed to stand there and shrug. It did however gouge a couple nice chunks out of my bumber. The underguard looks like it was in a fight too...

I have my doubts that an estimate for repair won't include a new bumper and underguard. If I have to order replacements, what options do I have besides the stock parts? Can a WRX bumper and diffuser be used or even ordered? Just pondering my options here... thnx

Sucks to hear.
The WRX diffuser is built into the bumper, but the bumper comes unpainted.
I would think it would fit, but not sure. Now is definitely the time to do it!

Also fixed a buzzing passenger door. If I put on music with to much bass the passenger door would buzz...very annoying. I found that the plastic door panel was vibrating against a plastic white box inside the door. I place two small pieces of velcro(soft side) in between the box and the door panel... fixed...now bring on the techno.
I have the same issue as welll with my new 09 OBS ... thnx for the Tip....

Silver is the way to go on the OBS. I was looking at 09's but found a steel silver '08 for a nice price with low, low miles and couldn't say "no".

Brew, what's the exhaust you put on?
