Default impossible to find v1 sti bugeye front lip in urethane

i want to buy an sti v1 front lip for my wrx, i have heard that it was discontinued, but what bugs me is that no other third party company has taken up the task of making replicas of one of the most popular front lips made for the bugeyee. has anyone been able to find one that isn't $500? because i dont really want to spend that, (college isnt cheap!!). the ones that i do fined that are reasonabbly priced are fiber glass, (shatter easily) and dont want to keep replacing it. please someone help me.

there were several companies that made them in a variety of materials.

people stopped buying them, so they stopped selling them.

if you're worried about breaking a fiberglass lip, you should probably work on your driving skills.

Mine's fiberglass, and it has lasted me for about 10 years. I just got a crack in it earlier this year.

even the most experienced drivers make mistakes sometimes. i have snow tires, its my first 5 speed, (bought 1 month ago) im still learning to rev match while braking, which done while taking the foot off the brake in the snow WILL cause sliding, even if i just tap the brake again, its kinda hard to use two pedals with one foot dont ya think? anyways i want a lip that wont shatter as easily as fiberglass will, is that so much to ask for?

You're doing it wrong.

You should be braking and clutching with the same foot....meaning you should always have a foot on the gas and an open free foot.

Don't worry too much about "rev matching". Modern cars have syncros.

Still - snow tires, driving better, remove the lip in winter.

At the time I couldn't understand why Luke was so happy when I dropped off the V1 to him , in retrospect this pic says it all:

So you had to mod it to fit your wagon? Any idea how well it would fit for a sedan? Like, say, if you test fitted it on a friend's sedan or something?
