+1 for Paul@Primitive. I spent a while emailing him and speaking on the phone with him. He is a great guy! We settled on the 1/8" no hole/stinger tail'd front plate, and the 1/8" uparmored mini rear. Damn thing is 1/4" thick!!!!! I was really happy with his CS, and the shipping time was crazy fast. I plan on ordering more from him. I will get some pics and post them up when the car goes up in the air for more parts this weekend.

Great find! I wonder if they'll fit with a Fumoto valve. I'll send a PM.

I ordered the 2 skid plate set up from Paul for my '12 STi. Paul was excellent to work with and sent the parts out insanely fast. Arrived in time for the Totem Rally this weekend where I well get to fully test them out. They look like fantastic quality/finish (fit remains to be seen).
Only thing I'm concerned about is the removal of the plastic factory splash guards, and extra dirt and grime potentially getting up into the engine bay. But the only way to find out is to test! I may end up cutting up the factory splash guards and attaching them somehow, or just sandwiching them up under the primitive piece? I'll know more tomorrow when I get my car up on the hoist at work. Ah, the joys of being a mechanic. |

I got the street armor package for my 07 WRX about 5 years ago from Primitive and it is still going strong. Heck... I'm still using the original bolts he sent. Coming from the rust belt (5 years in central OH) that ain't to shabby.

I'll bump this
I use to have a fiberglass skid plate reinforced with a sheet of 1/8" Al that bolted to the subframe, but took the subframe off so I made a new one out of Al. It fits in the bumper and goes to the wheel wells then I just traced the outline of the subframe for the shape. |

Primitive Skid Plate on a Subaru Hatch
I bought a primitive skid plate. It is very strong and it does its job extremely well . Also, the fitment was great it got on my car no problem. There are a couple of things though. I do have to say that when there is more snow then the bumper height, snow gets in between the plate and the bumper. Because of that I got quite a bit of snow in the engine bay. Another thing is I wish it were wider. We all know that the wheel well plastic is not the strongest and it can rip/break. I wish the skid plate were wider. I have already had to replace two of my wheel wells. I think that if they had made side extensions, it would be the best on the market. |

I did a custom job on my skid plate, couldn't stand the plastic one with all the broken bolts. I had have of it zip tied on perviously.
