You'd have to mold it in for it to come close to look decent.

It would serve no purpose.

But at least most wings and splitters and other aerodynamic devices on cars like that, whether they're functional or not, are in such a location as to look like they'd work. Vortex generators on a wagon spoiler would not ever do anything at all, as that is not the point of a vortex generator. You'd have aerodynamicists looking at you thinking "dumbass"

There is a reason that Mistubishi and Subaru designers put these devices on their cars... it may not matter that much to us but when they want to get their stock off-the-shelf flagship performance car around a track (Nurburgring) a few 1/100ths of a second faster that the previous year's model they are going to add a few wings and air foils among other tweaks. The engineers want bragging rights... it's a very healthy rivalry among the Japanese manufacturers. |

you are saying that the little bulges on the front bumper cover are going to create downforce and make the car more stable at higher (unsafe) speeds on the street? I think not! |

I never said on the street. I said on the track. The whole point is to get their street car to go faster around the track. And it has to be the street car they test. It ultimately has no bearing on what we common folks do in the street... re-read my post.

I recently had to camoflauge a preproduction vehicle and decided to put them on to see what it looked like. It actually looked halfway decent. I can't take picture of it since the car isn't released yet, but mock it up and see if you like it.

Photoshop is your friend. Have someone photoshop the evo spikes onto your wagon, and then print the picture. Leave it in your car, and every time you get in, look at it. If you still love it after a week--go for it. Performance be damned if you like it. It'd be very unique too. It's not going to hurt anything by being there, at least.
