Full matte white vinyl wrap | done!
I've been wanting to do this for about a year and a half now, then I bought the vinyl march 2010. Since then I've been debating whether or not to do it myself or pay someone to wrap the car for me. Couldn't really bring myself to pay the money to have it done, I hate paying someone else to mod my car, plus between working and taking classes I'm not really able to have the car gone for that long. So that meant I just had to find the motivation to do it myself.
Bored one day and jonesing to do something with the car, I did a quick half-assed wrap on one of the fenders. Bubbles all over and a nice big rip in one spot, but I fell in love with the color and knew I could get it looking good if I put my mind to it. Motivated again. Never done anything even remotely close to wrapping a car, but it seems to be coming along nicely so far. Before: Started on it last Saturday. First with the roof Then mirrors and hood After a good 5-6 hours of work and redoing the hood once, we were done for the night. The next day I did the fenders after work After all that went fairly well I wanted to try what I figured would be the hardest part, the front bumper. Was getting tired and didn't pay attention to which direction I was working in ending up with a bunch of slack... Luckily the cusco lip will cover that area up so I just cut it out and overlapped it Got some rest for a couple days then went on to doing the A pillar to rear quarter. All one piece for this I'll update as I get more done, I've just been working on it when I have the time. Love it or hate it, I couldn't be happier with how its coming out. HUGE thanks to my fiend Jay (Evil Imports on here) who not only has showed me how to remove and replace any piece there is on the car, but also been more than willing to help get this project really moving along.

I must say looks like you are doing a killer job. Coming along real nice, keep it up. I wanna know where you got the vinyl from. Looking to do this myself in black.

Its hard to describe how to do it, I'll just say it takes a TON of patience. I haven't had it on long enough to see how well it will hold up, but worst case it gets chipped up and I have to redo a part.

Had some time today so I worked on doing the drivers side rear door.
Wet the vinyl down as well as the door with a spray bottle of soap/water, then laid the sheet down Smooth it all down and get the water out Then trim it up I'll get some more work done on it tonight. |

Did you vinyl the door handles, or paint them? nice car and nice job. Also, Are you keeping the wrx wing?? I am not a fan of those.

Disassembled the handles and wrapped them. It will be back to being wingless by the time I'm done, not really the biggest fan of the wrx wing either.

OT, Also, do you have a roll center kit? I put one on to correct my stance with my cobb springs :/ The car is completely different... Your car being that low would definitely benefit, handling-wise. They're cheap, too.
