also, the problem wasn't with the actuator and it's control - it was with the BCSV and seemingly the manner in which it was wired.

once we get the final tune underway in a few weeks, if we have any issues of the variety you experienced with the BW actuators, i'll be sure to post up.

forgot to post the results of the first dyno session in here:

this is @ ~17psi peak boost on 93 pump. will be on the dyno again in a couple weeks for a final result @ 26-28psi on 93 pump + meth.

feels very nice and lots of fun on the street. currently getting some more done @ IAG and she will stay there until her next tuning session the weekend of the 15th of june.

thanks for following along!

It looks like the internal gate is spiking then settling out. Either way, it looks like a nice curve!!!! It must feel lightning quick on the street.

400ft lbs before 4000 and sustains vs a huge mountain. Must be fun. Will be nice to see final results of a properly done car. I think you and Anton are going to definitely make a few more people on the waiting list.

Why did you sound remorseful on your dyno post?

thanks for the responses guys. it feels very responsive on the street especially in off boost driving. it's quite well-mannered and highly deceiving, i think. i can cruise nicely and calmly which is 95% of my driving and when called upon, she responds with a wrath upon the road unlike any experience i've had before.

i've driven high hp subarus before and always felt they were kind of sluggish around town. this is one of my daily drivers and i do a fair bit of autox with her, so i wanted the response to be there.

the top end feels never ending on the highway and long straights. she pulls, pulls some more, and keeps on going. one definitely needs to be very alert and attentive as within seconds you're hitting 100+mph in a very smooth yet violent manner.

in regards to the comments on my seemingly remorseful tone - i don't know what i said but i'm quite happy but perhaps you picked up on my eagerness to try some different setups out. i'm always on the hunt for something different and i do get bored easily even when something is performing well.

ideally i'd find some garrett turbos to do some back to back testing and am on the hunt to see what will work with this EFR kit without too much modification. i'd like to do this as the information seems hard to come by and these setups are very few in completion.

i'll have some videos posted soon. thanks for reading!

This ftw.

I gave up on the EFR. I got the latest news of me having to wait till end of.august before a few might be available.

I am really happy for you, glad you are all set with it. Now that you've tweaked around, do you think it would be possible to do some sort of dyno sheet? Or was the one a few posts above your final one?

I'm curious!

hi layvon, yes the one above is the final one for now. thanks for your input and asking. i'm following your thread, too, and wish you the best with your turbo selection.

Thanks man glad its worked out for you!

I paid off half my PTE 6262 with the billet wheel and ceramic bearings today. Not as good as an EFR but its available which means something to me.

Congrats on completion!

newbie question here. Any idea why this turbo kit doesn't angle the turbo more so the down pipe can take a route closer to the oem turbo downpipe? I ask because it seems like it has room to do so and seems like it would give more room to work in. Could be missing something but was curious if you though the kit could position the turbo better than it does.

This might be due to the position of the oil drain.to much of an angle will result in poor drainage and blown oil seals.i have seen a few angled more but most rotated setups are like this.

This is pure speculation but they also might have built the kit so that it would work with the 7670s and possibly 83xx Turbo. It would make sense to make one kit for all the EFRs if they could make it work.

i suppose the photos aren't the best for this purpose but there isn't even 1/2" an inch of clearance to the firewall. these twin-scroll IWG turbos are LOOOOOONG. the only way to make them fit in our subaru's bay with minimal rerouting and relocation of other components is as designed. now with an EWG housing and setup the full-race kit is different. each kit is designed and made around the particular turbo and engine bay.

here's probably the best photo i could find of the lack of clearance. everything had to be massaged in place and made to fit by IAG and with a turbo like this, you have a bit of work cut out for you.

Looks super clean dude. Did you have to relocate your ABS bracket....or move it up out of the way for your inlet? I needed to do this in order for the inlet to fit. I still have to find a way to mount it in there for good. These full-race kits are crazy nice and very well (tight) fitting)!

Do you have any other pics of your engine bay?

Looks like the ABS was modified a bit if you have any details on that it would be apreciated.

It's an awesome unit and your car is looking great. I know it's already mounted so i hesitate to ask but I will anyway, I was wondering if the oil catch can could go closer to to the strut tower, and if that would keep the oil temps lower?

Its not like a continuous stream of oil is being pulled through the AOS. I doubt the location of that has any effect on oil temperature.

Ya I am failing to see how the changes your oil temp.

I'm sure the AOS being that close might even help the oil not build there/stay warm and flow easier back to the pan. Don't think there would be a major increase in temp

I saw this car in person when I was getting a tune back in May.....beautiful!

Totally off topic, but one of the interns that work at my company says that you're in risk management and insurance. Fact? lol
