Default GM Synchromesh and royal purple

At 13K i changed my oem gear oil to royal purple gear oil. At first it seemed great. Eventually i could hear alot of synchro grinding when i just slightly lifted off the throttle. Last week (19,500 miles) i drained about a quart of the RP and added a quart of the GM synchromesh.

The clutch actually feels different now. It's easier to press it to the floor. Gears are smoother to engage from neutral. So far so good, thumps up for the GM synchromesh. I'll give it a couple of more thousand miles and then do a reevaluation.

any update on the evaluation? I've used gm syncromesh in both of my previous dsm's before looking at an 04 wrx, and shifting was smooth as butter. I plan to use it again as long as its compatible.

I noticed it's easier to pull the car out of gear when upshifting, you don't have to be perfect when coming off the gas. Reverse is still a pain but not as bad as it was with the fully synthetic gear oil in the tranny. I left the Royal purple in the rear differential.

The bottle of the GM gear oil says it's only for certain GM and Chrysler vehicles, and they even listed id numbers on the bottle for the different vehicles that were compatible. So far the REX seems likes it's definatly compatible.

i put pennzoil syncromesh (same as gm syncromesh) in my twin turbo stealth and it made it 10x's better ten stock, made it feel like a new transmission. I wouldn't mind putting it in my sti, but i dont want to ruin my warranty for some stupid reason?
