Default How much will a small muffler quiet down an EWG?

So... EWGs are SUPER loud. If one were to attach a small muffler to the dump pipe, any experience with the sound reduction this would offer? I realize answers will be qualitative and subjective, but for those that have done it, did it make a lot of difference? Or just a slight reduction? Thanks. I realize plumbing to DP is the quietest solution.

I don't really know that there is room to do that aside from really extending the dumptube a lot to give room to add some kind of silencer. I'm convinced though that if you get the dump tube routed back into the downpipe at the right angle it shouldn't cause too much turbulence at all.

There's room. And it's not a turbulence issue, it's a backpressure issue.

No one knows. Though several have talked smack about it, i haven't seen anyone who has done it on here.

I have used a muffler off a kaboda garden tractor, I'll see if I can find the part #. It was off a small diesel engine. It helped alot.
