Default Aftermarket Intake Manifolds

I'm running a GT52 on a built 2.5 with V8 Spec C heads and some valvetrain upgrades. My question is this: would a long runner aftermarket intake manifold give me much of a gain? If yes, where in the powerband would it have the greatest effect?

Thanks,
Eric

Well if you elongate the runners on an intake manifold then you are more than likely going to see your torque numbers sooner and the power curve flattens out sooner.

^^ reviews on that magnus intake manifold appear to be mixed. Some people like it, others tell you to stay away. Unfortunately more people have the latter to say, so it's hard to see how good or even reliable it is. I know one ex member here was stranded on the side of the road when his popped on him.

Then there is the availability factor also. Nobody seems to have them in stock..more so for the drive by cable version

search FIRST, then PM!!!

longer runners increase lower rpm volumetric efficiencies which translates into low end torque..the trade off is top end volumetric loss. This trade off can be reduced someif the manifold is properly designed to then catch another reflective wave at a higher rpm.
