Angry IT: HELP! How do I defeat web page blocking so I can listen to internet radio

Ok... so far they blocked:

you tube
my space
photobucket
flickr
google video
google pics
itunes
all mp3 sites
ALL SOURCED OF MEDIA

The only thing I want is to be able to listen to internet radio. At least krock2 and freefm.

Is there any way I can get around these blocks to listen any radio station. I can't even have a regular radio since it doesn't get reception inside.

anyone?

Stand on your chair and yell at your boss to F$%& off. Much easier to lose your job that way.

If they are going through the effort to block you, I wouldn't circumvent their system. It will get you into hot water.

I think they're blocking everything without consideration. I've never known it to be a problem to listen to the radio at work, but I guess they can't distinguish on from of streaming content from another.

I guess you'll have to lug that huge mp3 player or massive usb drive with mp3s on it all the way to work.

File a request to unblock those sites.
Tell them music makes you more productive.

It doesn't take many people streaming audio to overwhelm even a decent sized pipe.

How about just using your company's computer and network for doing the work they pay you to do? Just an idea.

Why do everyone's lives need a soundtrack nowadays?

I've found that programing for 9 hours a day w/o music sucks. Really hard to keep focused w/o some kind of distraction

how about you bring an mp3 player to work and not bypass your company's internet policy?

EDIT: this strikes a chord with me, as an IT guy for several companies. I've had a few people 'removed' for trying to do stuff like this. they are blocking that stuff for a reason, and unless you own the company there's no reason for you to try to get around it.
