It's too bad none of the rally-x championship races are held near the west coast. We have some very good drivers and a very active rally-x program out here.

I think the SCCA peeps are scared of our mad driving skillz...

I guess Oregon is in the east. I'll fly out to your event and drive your groups top car and you fly out east and drive one of ours, lowest combined time wins. Oh and mad doesn't always win. We only drive mad dog after things break. So ya up for it urfsin? Lord of the Rings

I think he would be a skeered.

Then again, LGT-FST is slow anyways so it shouldn't be that hard to pass up.

I am talking about the final championship race, not the events leading up to it. We had a national SCCA championship points race here in So Cal. It was fun.

What do you qualify Nebraska as? Usually, championships are held within a certain range of the bulk of the competitors, something centrally located, like Nebraska was the past couple years.

I don't know why they're in TN either... if you want to go, make the drive. I think that National Events should be centrally located, IMHO. Then again, you can only do them where you have sites available, or in the very least that have been offered up by the regions that have rally-x programs.

IMHO, having one in Cali would not be beneficial as it would be way too far of a drive for well more than 1/2 the country to even attend. Having it somewhat in the middle offers up a greater chance for more to attend.

The move from Hastings to Nashville, as driven from LA, added 500 miles onto the journey. But added 800 miles from those in the PNW.

we couldnt make it last year since we decided to late and we were going to go this year untill we found out it was out in TN. we would be going out there with a 8mpg rv to tow the car that travels best at 65.

and i am not complaining, just talking distances. i completely understand about going where the venue is, and this sounds like an awesome venue.

just hard to justify the trip right now. no one to blame but myself for that one.

i really hope some of the rally drivers that have been going to LSPR in the past make it out for this.

WHY nashville?!?? cause people in florida and new england probably aren't gonna drive past colorado.
[[colorado has been talked about as an option, maybe next year]]
to do the same venue every year in the same part of the country is not good for the sport. autocross championship is always in the same spot but it has a bigger more established following, maybe in 5-10 years rallycross could do that, but not yet. Now it needs to move to centrally located areas, like nashville, nebraska, and colorado.
And you have national challenges that are located several places in the US. go to them and show how fast you are!!!
Afraid .....i don't think anybody is afraid of anybody. Bring it and drive and we'll see who is faster!!! I love good competition. I hate beating people easily, give me a challenge. Shut up and show UP !!! i know of one person from oregon and another from california and several from colorado that are planning on coming to nashville.
Several of us in the south east drove to nebraska last year and a guy from connecticut drove also.
and if your on Nasioc then you probably have a subaru, and there is contingecy $$ from subaru for the national championship that is quite substantial!!! it will pay for your gas if you are fast a driver as you think you are!!!

only if you drive a 93 or newer impreza, a 95 or newer legacy or a forester.

which is too bad because someone could win money with a 93 impreza but not with a 94 legacy.

i know they have to draw the line somewhere but it still kind of sucks.

trust me, if i had the disposable income i would be there no matter where the damn thing was being held.

and i am pretty sure the fear comments were smack talk. the first rule of smack talk is to not get butt hurt over smack talk.

rule # one was not broken, but smack was being given back.
i love people who state they are not going to show up, also saying how fast they are!!???

the contingency $$$ from subaru is for impreza, wrx or sti that is 95 or newer.
and forester xt 04 or newer. no 93's at all. yea i think they would rather have people admire and want; sti's or wrx's, instead of 93 legacy's

that is odd because a 95 imp looks just like a 93 imp.

i know why they do it that way, doesnt mean i have to like it.

I'll be there with the Civic duking it out for the SF title

Might even have to pick up a new set of snows. My current WS-50's are getting close to the wear bars from all the rallyx

subydude --- driving a civic ---what's in a name---what's wrong with this picture--
it's going to be a great event. nice terrain, long courses, town hall meeting with the rallycross board. might even be appearances by reps from subaru, team dynamics, VW and DC shoes, just to name a few!!!!
door prizes and food BBQ friday night at the track and a banquet saturday night at the track.

Yeah yeah, what can I say. The subaru is for autox and track. No fender liners and 400 pound springs don't lend themselves well to off road

You actually met me before at both the WV National Challenge and the WOR National Challenge. I drove the white civic si at both events

I am looking forward to the course. I do better on longer courses...gives me time to recover from my many mistakes

Now I just wish Honda would sponsor the rallyx program so I could run for contingency as well!!!

YEA i remember you and your white civic. and i have to say i have competed one time in a front wheel drive and it is a blast. but all wheel drive is insane.
www.get-primitive.com paul eklund can get you the Tein gravel spec suspension that should be pretty good at rallycross and autocross. it is on my radar screen.

JW we have a couple guys that compete in an Escort and have a ball doing it and are pretty fast with it. in fact that is what i drove the one time i drove front wheel drive.
