OMGHi2U 2008 BMW M3 vs. 2008 Lexus IS F vs. 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...amg_comparison

Quote:
CN: "The Lexus and the Mercedes feel like performance versions created out of something else. The M3 feels like it was born this way." Ed Loh's summary is even more succinct: "The Lexus and Mercedes are great hot-rod sedans. The M3 is a race car with four doors."

Because the CTS-V would murder those three.

Agreed.

And I would drive the dog **** out of any of them. As well as the new CTS-V once it gets here...*drool*

You'd think with new technology, someone could figure out how to make a high HP, light weight car. Suppose GM has done well with the ZO6?

It's called "target market". MB values luxury over performance. Typical AMG owner makes well over 200k/yr, over 50, and is interested in a high-class, comfortable auto. You would be shocked if you knew how much the sound deadening on the average MB weighs. It's nothing like a vette.

doesn't the CTS-V compete with the M5, E63? I know it's around the same price as the M3, C36, etc.

2009 CADILLAC CTS-V
Curb Weight 4200-4300lb (mfr est)

Yeah, seems like the primary goal for the car is to knock down the M5... Things are looking pretty favorable for it to do so too.

We have been testing the new c63 @ work. It's pretty damn impressive, heavy, but very fast for a stock car. I have the non-AMG model, and it blows my car out of the water.
