Yeah I know, it's not "Crossfit", but this thread's the closest thing to my circuit training gym. Dealwithit.jpg I lost 10lbs in the first 3 months and just improved my monthly challenge score by 13 total reps (1 min each of rope slams, jump squats, burpees, pushups and inverted rows with a minute's rest between each).

Nothing like waking up early on a Saturday and flipping tractor tires. This plhegm in my lungs isn't helping, but at least it's not as humid as it was the past few days. Rest of the circuit was a good mix, although not much core stuff. Kettle bell swings, jungle gym jump squats, overhead weight squats, dumbbell lunges, slider hip ups, dumbbell box step ups, etc.

Finisher:
30x prisoner squats
20x jump squats
30x alternating reverse lunges
20x burpees

I'm going to nap for the rest of the day now...

Yeah looks like 10 is out of stock everywhere. I am going to a cf competition tomorrow and reebok are there with tons of shoes so i can check if they have them if you want but that means no discount of course have you tried the nano 2.0? They are a bit tighter so they might work better for you.

I crossed one year in the cult last week. Been a good time so far. Been keeping it goalless till now but muscle ups need to get sorted out so I can not be a n00b MU scaler and play on the big rings.

Past week has been leg heavy and left everyone sore. Ran 5k with some fitters today and really recovered the soreness in my thighs.

So I filled in, as a last last second replacement for the Nasty Northeast Throwdown today. We took 12th out of 29. I got the call at 11 last night when I was partying. For my portion, I was top 5 in my run.

4 person teams. 2 girls. 2 guys.
2200m sand run. Guys run first. Girls run after both guys finish.
Walk 750m with 150lbs of sand buckets and PVC pipe on your back.
Lunges for 1500m
Team planks for 1100m. You make a tunnel and the last person crawls through. Move down the beach like that.
Sprint 1100m to the finish.

Hi Neil,

i saw on the CF forum that you are using TK knee sleeves. how do you like them? i am thinking about buying a pair of sleeves to help with some knee stability and aches.

They are good, they are cheap, they are a bit of a PITA to put on, but once you get the method, they are great.

Don't remember if it was a PR on front squat or I it just matched a PR, but even with my legs smoked, I front squatted 255 yesterday.

Went to 260lbs first and missed. Starting to come out of the hole but my wrists started to come down and I went too far forward after moving the weight a few inches from the bottom.

Not a huge number and nothing compared to what I've been able to back squat for years but it felt good - especially since my legs were still on fire from the Nasty Northeast Throwdown. (so much so that I was going to take the day off until I was invited to a different box in NJ).

Bodyweight is around 155lbs. They had some bigger guys move 295lbs and one guy move 315. I've never seen someone front squat with 3 plates (usually they'd just move to back squat) b

255 is a great front squat, particularly @ 155. Last time I 1RM'd my front squat I got 300, then tried the 315 and couldn't get up. I'm about to re-start a strength cycle, and I'm going to include front squat this cycle instead of back squat. I'm actually considering 2 squat days/week, one front and one back.

It's all about having a really good rack position, and high elbows especially coming out of the bottom. Drive off the floor hard with your elbows leading the way up. Once you lose upper back tension and your elbows start to drop, the bar tends to come forward and the lift is usually done.

My front squat is 10 lbs below my back squat. One of these things is not right.

I used to love squatting; when I was in HS, at about 165 lbs, I could (back) squat 405x4. Five knee operations later, it's just not a good idea. I'm hoping air squats/plyo-type moves keep my legs in good enough shape now.

My front squat max(from the last time I did them) was 190 but my max back squat is 275. I just have a hard time keeping the bar in a good front rack position and pushing my elbows out far enough to get the proper form.

Neek put it well I think. Getting the form he is talking about will probably help me up the weight and have better stability.

No, bar is several inches below my shoulders I believe. Front squat 160, back is 170.
