18g 2.0 bugeye at 70000 miles - tuned by jesus!
was finally able to grab a hold of my dyno sheets. thanks to teddy at mavrik motorsports for digging them up for me. and thanks to jon (aka jesus) of hbspeed for the tune. car is a 2002 bugeye with 70,000 miles. tuned on mavrik's dynolog dyno, which i'm told reads about 20% less than a dynojet, so i'm making close to 300whp on 91 oct, and over 300whp on 93 if my car were tuned on a dynoject. stock sti's put down about 200-210whp on the dynolog dyno.
calicraptastic 91 oct map 91oct/100 oct map (effectively 93 oct)

Other than the dip, THAT is the kind of torque curve I expect to see. I've been seeing them drop off a lot on recent graphs, and while people say it's normal, THIS one looks good. That's what I'm talkin aboot!

not too sure about the dip - maybe someone can elaborate? i don't see any knock based on my knock light. it's a fairly conservative tune at 19psi peak.

I am talking about the dip on the torque how it goes down and then goes back up... It shouldn't do that, Should be smooth transition down!

theres something wrong with that tune. either bad knock or a slipping clutch or a nasty boost leak.... possibly even motor damage causing an issue but that dip in the curves isnt cool. get ur car fixed asap.

There is not a damn dip in the graph people, the torque curve is fine, you think you are seeing a dip in the graph but its really just the two lines intersecting each other, they are just both the same color so you cant tell. Look at it closer before you tell this kid his engine is messed up. Jesus people... just wow

there is a dip, i do see it...maybe jon can chime in...the boost curve looks like it drops as well, that's when the torque curve dips...is there a correlation? shouldn't the hp curve be acting funky too? hp curve looks fine though right?

Remember that even if torque dips, HP is not going to drop since it's dependent on rpms. The boost curve isn't really dropping - you're running an internal wastegate right? so your boost is just overshooting the target while spooling up and settling down. Probably some timing got pulled in that rpm range - you definitely should get it check out ASAP because that's exactly what a dyno graph looks like when there's detonation but then, i'm not a tuner so i dunno. Maybe there is some explanation |

Normally that dip is associated with the TGV's position. I think that is when they decide to open up. Because when they open, you have to build that extra boost that the semi-closed TGV's were helping and therefore, your TQ drops off because your bosot drops. Not for sure though. |

jon wouldnt let a car leave like that it looks like the scaling of that weird dyno did it
the afr and boost maps look perfect. bunch of armchair t0oners scaring a newb into thinking his car is blowing up, got to love PPB. |

you can have perfect afr and boost but garbage timing causing knock...bren, look at that dyno plot. something is messed up...

more inputs please...i'm getting worried here. jon told me after the tune that there was no knock, especially since it was a semi-conservative tune on 19psi. i wanted more but jon wanted to be on the safe side. for people trying to figure out the lines, you can distinuguish between the hp/tq curves via the black squares on the torque curve. it's somewhat confusing since both lines are the same color...
