Default HELP! Need a good Subaru mechanic in the Lowell, MA area

I'm looking for a good mechanic somewhere within 40 minutes of Lowell, MA who knows his stuff when it comes to older subarus and who's reasonably priced and fair. My 2002 outback seems to have thrown a rod and I need someone to diagnose it and give me a quote so I can get it back on the road. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Image auto in Fitchburg. Eddie knows the boxer like the back of his hand. Great guy, decent prices, good work.

If it really threw a rod you cheapest option is probably a used motor and having a good mechanic swap it.

Motive Auto Works in Woburn.

I drive over an hour to have him service my car. He has done a turbo upgrade and multiple other things for my subie. Most recent was replace my center diff.

His name is Alberto.
Give him a call/text/ or email

978-317-1804

Tell him Steven with the Spec b sent you.
Tell him your problem, and im sure he can find the right fix for you. His customer service is amazing.

Goodluck!

Another vote for motive auto in Woburn. Bertolucci is a good kid! Also if you end up needing a swap, he's the man you want to talk to.

Scott @ Fastrack in Peabody. He races Fords but has picked up a lot of word-of-mouth Subaru customers. His alignments are inexpensive and outstanding. Many alignment mechanics/technicians don't want to deal with adjustable rear wheel camber, but Scott asked me to get the WL adjustable rear camber set in oder to permit him to complete a more aggressive alignment.

These guys are good, they did not work on my car, but did some work for Sweed. I dropped him off to pick his car up, they gave us a tour of the whole facility and gave me some good ideas for my '13 WRX.

Really nice guys and some sick projects going on.

Default Motive Auto Works FTW

Another Vote for Motive Auto Works, Alberto is the best. His work is top notch, he puts his customers needs over his own and he can solve any problem you throw at him. He is currently doing my build on my 06 wrx and he just finished up my new short block I can't wait for it to be done!

Chris Evans in Westford. Close to Lowell. He's done so much work on my old 02 WRX. He's very reasonable.
