[quote=Jive Turkey;36272332]diso, what front mount is that? assuming bumper beam is gone. pictures of engine bay with pipping?
Jive Turkey, The front mount is a TurboXS Front mount. There is no more bumper Beam, however the bracket that holds the intercooler is somewhat of a substitute. Here is a picture of the engine bay: |

^^^ Saw a woman with one of those at the flyers game. She was zoomed in on Bryzgalov's face from up in the 200 level...it was ridiculous.

The main benefit of doing it is that you get direct airflow onto nearly twice as much surface area (~7 rows of fins vs ~4 rows of fins). Right now I think you have about as much exposed as with the 08-10 WRX/STI's bumpers, so it's probably not that big of a deal, but the more the better, IMO. The only downside is that there isn't really a "lip" where you'd cut. You're essentially cutting right on the front/painted surface of the bumper. If you goof up or don't take your time it is going to look bad. And noticeable. I think mine turned out looking good. Sure, you can tell from a few feet away (ie. crouched down), but at a normal distance it looks very good. |

I'm with Xluben, If I'm going to spend all that money on a FMIC I'm going to get all the air flow I can get. And I never liked that litte black piece thats runs along the bumper anyway. I'm looking at the ETS FMIC or the TMIC. I'm leaning more towards the TMIC because its something I know I wont have to pay someone to install and its geared more towards my goals. I'm pretty sure I won't see any rotated turbo set up on my car so big TMIC and bigger factory location turbo will be fine with me. I'd love to get 375-425 hp out of the car and call it a day. I just want a fun half daily driver if that makes any since. I've got a bike if I need to take the edge off LOL

curious to see how the 275's fit with the lowering. I have 18x10 (+38) xd9's in the mail for my '11 wrx sedan an plan on going 265/35/18, so it would be similar to your setup edit: also on bc coils at a similar height to you |
